Bots. Again and again

Dear IMC developers, i don’t know about what you were thinking of when released game without any antibot protection. Just went to tenet church and you know what? I see it full of bots. Is it part of your business plan? I mean do you really think that i will try to compete with bots while try to get some item which they easily gain one by one again and again 24/7 at all channels? For last month i have seen bots more than players. Or you want me to buy more tokens and sell then buy item i need for few mil? Good plan, goldsellers are satisfied, IMC satisfied too, who cares about player.

The funny thing is you think an anti cheat protection system actually works.

The funny thing is you cant see the difference between antibot and anticheat but still have something to say.

Seeing as how flame wars begin this way, let me break it down for you so you see what I mean and just end it there:

An anti cheat system would probably involve a program trying to detect abnormalities or third party programs or injections into the client, detecting something is off and shutting the game down as well as sending what data has been corrupted over. The reason why RMTers slide by these usually is by using scripts that aren’t really detected, they often have little hindrance against it. Anti-Cheat Systems usually prevent hacking from the leechers of quickly made hacks and such.

An anti-bot system would quite literally be the same thing as the bots use a script to run over a field, detect moving monsters, and sequence (Blessing) then auto attack. An anti-cheat system /should/ work against them, but with how fluxuating and inaccurate the system would be at detecting it, nothing would change. You could in theory, alter the game’s structure so that scripting to higher levels is harder on a bot: I.E. Making it so you’d need to complete one or the two quest chains to actually use the market, a filter that detects repeated messages and blocks after the 3rd~5th message, etc.

There’s no solution to it as it takes time, blood, and money varying the game; three things that people on this forum do not want to wait for.
