As i was doing a quest in Manahas, a group of bots (about 6 bots) are lurking. All are clerics. Any actions regarding the bots? AND guess what. All of them have Arde Dagger.

I noticed that this isn’t the first time it has been posted, the one i saw was 4 days ago. So yeah, what’s the stand of IMC regarding this. We are closing to F2P tho.

I’ve heard item potentials are not being reported correctly on other players. You should test it with a friend and see if any non-full potential items look like full potential to you when you check their character.
I suspect they are getting their Arde daggers off the market which would explain why the price for the daggers has ballooned up to ~1 mil from what I’ve seen.

Hmm… that’s a bit disturbing then… that either means they’ve figured out a way to duplicate items, or they’ve figured out a way to bot-run dungeons… either is really bad news…
I agree with you that they should create an automatic system to detect and destroy bots. Unfortunately, it does not appear that imc has the desire or the expertise to create a good system that would be able to achieve the goal of automatic bot detection…CAPTCHA systems would not work! Most solutions that I’ve heard so far would not work as many very powerful AI techniques have become open source and free/easy to use in the past 3-5 years.
they have bots for running dungeons, they use auto match making
once its inside the bot is set to follow players closely behind(kinda like a motion detector), while doing nothing except healing or potting up when it gets low, once the boss is dead it collects the loot.
has happened to me while i was doing the lvl 90 dungeon
even worse when 2 of them join and 3 people have to carry their ass, 1 time someone rage quit(the healer) and the other people left. sad times.
and yea its very possible that dupe hacks and dungeon limit removal could also be part of this.

about item potential, I’m not so sure it detects them perfectly, I gave a Zega spearforgot name and named it Tradeless after I checked his character info, it only appeared as a normal unamed non damaged potential spear.
Oh man… it’s getting just downright bad…
I know people complain about trade and the cash shop (these could kill the game), but botting like we’re seeing is what will definitively kill ToS.
One possible solution to the bots queuing in dungeon issue would be to have auto matchmaking create the group, allow the group to talk (to vote kick out a player if there’s no healer or to kick out a bot) and then allow the group to confirm readiness before warping them into the dungeon instance. This would kill two birds with one stone… it would root out bots, and it would ensure a balanced team could enter the dungeon.
its easy as heck to edit the ipf files client side and mod your costumes n’ all
i wouldn’t find it far fetched if people have unlocked ridiculous hacks to help out with their botting, heck another possibility could be disabling the amount of times a cube can be re rolled.
i think the anti cheat systems will slow all this down drastically but it can never really stop it, programmers can crack anything these days.
i believe that there is a need of a feature to be implemented before f2p starts. it kinda worries me what might happen

if IMC don’t do anything to change that before f2p , i’ll switch to another game .
Tbh, I hope they actually bought it rather than dupe it… Can’t handle it as if the botting issues isn’t a pain enough…
I just want to contribute that, no, you cannot see the actual potential of other people’s gear using “character info”. You also cannot see if their gears are upgraded or not.
