Bosses and Knockdowns?

Not only bosses (like the stupid one on 330 dungeon who only jump all the time - boring, no challenging after all, just hella annoying), but some monsters restart to cause knockdown and knockback. That Nuka who jump and fall on the char stopped long time ago to do it and now is doing again.

Please, solve it.

At least the bug that allowed the Lavenzard to throw you outside of the screen has not returned… :haha:

gargyole normal attack sometime caused knockdown too
velcoffer spin attack caused knockdown too
velcoffer upheaval sometime caused knockdown too
and like others said, some other bosses in PVE content have knockdown + knockback now after last week patch (especially 330 boss that can chain KD you for like 5+ in a row
do yourself a favor, get gazing or RC in your velco raid, those ninja added KD KB is a nightmare
hard bosses for e.g nuodai, froster lord, others demon lord skills

Knockback/down should not be abused as a method to increase difficulty. PvE content is now very very annoy, it’s not hard, it’s annoy. Which drives your players away. Fix it!

Well players will never satisfied with new changes… still in their comfort shoes never have the time to fix in others shoes … if im the dev and received a complain the game is too easy make it harder and i do think it too easy … change to hard mode and now they complain again the game is too hard … well this will go back and forth forever… never achieved players satisfaction… just equip it gazing golem card or dodge or something … pls think on how to deal the new changes dont just rant without trying to deal with it :tired: pls and pls find a way to deal with it.

You actually play the game??? It’s not hard at all, but it makes you NOT want to play anymore.

i play since beta … where leveling was hard even doing dungeon give challenge… but now everything :tired: and leveling a char to 360 in 1-3 day

Do not mix speed of progression with difficulty…

you can be stopped constantly and take 3 hours to eat something, but that doesn’t make the food hard to eat…

The only boss gimmick I hate is the one where they become invulnerable to all attack/damage (with no way to remove it)

I’m absolutely cool with adding a little more difficulty to boss fights so instead of players just standing there with 60K HP in the bosses’ face and using their spells, they actually have to connect two brain cells and learn how to watch for cues and dodge gimmicks. It makes the game a little more skill based in the PVE world.

agreed… boss invulnerability should change to power up to make more spicy :haha:

this video is good … hope IMC can learn from this …where one of the good ai is where it enable player to predict the a.i … they should put more casting bar and skill circle to the bosses with this player can predict and choose a good course of action… unpredictable situation is one of the bad ai design based on this video

Is not the space, is the time…

All this things don’t become a problem until the are spammed…

Sure boss X has 100B HP rug it off it happens you move on…

but if 10 bosses in a row has 100B HP you will hate it…

Boss Y uses Knock-back one or twice in 2 min and you stand up and deal with it…

But if boss spams knockback every 10 seconds you are fucking piss of your mind…

Boss goes invulnerable for 5 seconds and you wait it out…

But if the fuc<c<ker goes invulnerable constantly for 2 mins NOW that’s a problem

You fell on your own pitfall and too bloody soon it was :smirk:

I play since beta too, but I have totally different experience than yours. The game was never ever have any challenge even when R8 first came out. And all IMC did to “Answer” player’s request was only tweak some configuration here and there. “Oh, you want difficulty, here, I can just add knockback to all his skill/AA and call it a day.” Instead of adding new behaviors to boss, all they ever do was just turn on some flag of the code. It’s like slap you in the face and say, take it and you still feel happy about it and defend them.

I’ve never done guild raid bosses (don’t have a guild) and I can’t speak for those bosses but don’t you dare tell me dungeon 330’s boss doesn’t have any cues before he uses a skill that will knock you back.

There is that backswing into thrust, the one where he leaps onto you and the most random one, the one where he disappears and slams all around. Other than the last one, the first two cues are obvious as daylight and are entirely dodgeable if you jump. All knock back can be negated can be negated if you just jump at the right time.
