Boss fights are way too boring

Boss fights are boring. The bosses are sluggish and the fights are repetitive.

Their “AI” isnt that great. Most of them will just stand there like a board and from time to time they’ll decide to cast some easily avoidable random spell/skill while we are already punishing their backs with our attacks.

They spawn random traps in the map to prevent you from attacking/moving. To me, it makes no sense. No offense but, it looks like IMC got lazy here. Dont get me wrong. The traps do add a bit of challenge during the fights but they just doesnt fit. Instead, they could create new bosses’ skills that could do similar things(to prevent the character movement/attacking or etc…).

They have too much HP when youre solo’ing. I have no problem with that at all, but since we fight them with a certain frequency, having that much hp will just add to the boring recipe. I dont have a real solution for that, sorry. I think if they were more challenging, with different skills and animations, an enemy that you would really fear to fight, they HP wouldnt even matter at all. That if… they were also rewarding aswell…

They lack different animations. I really wish they had death animations. That would be so rewarding. And what about some specific boss skills? That would be amazing! “Beware X’s skill or you’ll regret coming in here!” That would be truly epic. Right now, we dont have that kind of immersion.

The game didn’t seem to be aimed for fast-paced action, so yeah, the combat are pretty slow, the CD of some skills are also really long 20~ish second as a Krivis, but it seems the game is taking that approach.

And yes they have too much HP, it feels even more so because I’m not a pure dps class. I can still solo it because it’s not hard to outsustain the boss… but with the super long CD of dps skills it’s really time consuming to fight boss. Heck I’m really lazy even to farm in the field because I have no spammable offensive skill whatsoever.

Though rather than the boss itself my complain comes from the slow pace of certain class to dealing damage.

I think boss should have some deadly ability
so as player should have one ultimate with really long cd

i’m not against the massive amount of HP they have, but I agree on the fact that the fights become somewhat boring and repetitive. maybe more dangerous skills, more sustained dps and more mobility would help a lot.

Yes, there are too many boss fights and they get either difficult to solo or it’s just boring and takes a long time…

I agree it’s too boring, I think priest and tank are useless for party cuz you just try to avoid their stupid boss’s skill you can fight with it easily and besides when boss lock target to someone in party it will never change to other target. I think should have Threat point when someone in party does high damage to boss or priest heal to other players boss will change the target then tank will more useful to provoke boss back to him.

if they brought the “Ragnarok mvps”(something like them) things gonna be more dynamic and fun

I think they could get some good ideals from W3 custom maps. The boss’s map requires really good cooperation and gives us vibes and satisfaction after defeating them.

the problem that i see with bosses they are slow and not mobile. if you can make the bosses normal attack instead of throwing skills all the time that would be better.

The bosses were made to be easy so it can be completed easily by anyone to further progress through the storyline but it is definitely a boring fight regardless.

I would love if traps were removed all entirely from fights and just as you suggested, have techniques created for the boss that replicates these movement hazards around the field. Something that doesn’t look so out of place like a random mine trap appearing out of the ground.

I also feel the bosses need their speed increased and HP reduced.

And for the love of all things good. Please have an opt out option for players if they do not want to participate into boss fights initiated from other party members. It just becomes annoying when you are in grind parties to be pulled into boss fights.

Its a game with fixed story line…what do you expect?
The actual game only started when you completed the story…there will be dungeons and bosses you wished for…

If its possible to change the game contents, i would really like to see the story divide into several paths/fractions for players to choose once we reached certain ranks…then its freedom mode~
Please don’t make us walkthrough the stories until max level…

Anyone know where i’m going with this?

It seems that bosses are tuned for parties. Soloing can take a while, but with even one other person the pacing feels right. Any faster and they’d just be little speed bumps.

For difficulty, it seems to me they’re ramping up gradually. Started seeing some mechanics that were fun starting around level 40, which is fast enough to get to that it’s basically at the end of a tutorial in other MMOs. Level 50-60 bosses seem to be more dangerous than the 40s, so I’d be surprised if it doesn’t keep ramping up.

Now if we get to level 200/300/400 bosses and they don’t have some really dangerous moves, I’d be a bit sad.

At some point every single boss has the same exact attacks really shitty bad game design. This is what we get with F2p . Shitty design clone bosses with different skins.

I’m ok with the “quest” boss fight to be just like that… it was meant to be solo fights. that is why it was easy…

But I’m not ok on the REAL boss fight which respawn on some map and everything will be free for all… the free for all thing is exciting what it is not… is when this boss comes out , everyone is moving their a-ss to fight him it was also a much more boring fight when there are lots of people around specially when there are lots of tank… it was like hitting a plant that is not moving at all.

I really wanted it to be very intimidating… just like Ragnarok times when you see a boss you run your a-ss out of it… if he sees you… you are dead… coz he run 10X faster than you the next time you see it he hit you once and die.
