What’s “fair” is such a subjective thing. It can be argued about for hours. I don’t see that as a strong enough reason to leave out an optional feature that people clearly would love to have. Factors that make up fairness can be altered and adjusted by the devs at any time throughout the development, and even after the feature’s release.
The difference is that they earn that advantage through organized play. They’re simply being rewarded for actually putting effort in rather than joining with some random party and hoping everything goes well.
I don’t know if it was the way I said it or what with English being my second language, but the point I was trying to make never came across. I’m turning off notifications for this thread as I honestly don’t care anymore.
People keep arguing over fairness and being rewarded for effort when my point was how easily the system could be completely abused with little to no effort at all. Not because they ‘worked hard to obtain the dream’ or whatever you people are spouting on about.
No PK. Atleast not yet.
if you never played ragnarok - this is the most fun thing ever people, especially ragnarok fans will suffer if there was no such thing like a “WoE”
PK channels are cool and fun and i would like to see them - but they are not needed - in fact i could live without them IF the “WoE” is decent enough
It’s a shame you’ve turned notifications off. This is probably the first post you’ve made where your underlying point is clearly stated. It makes sense, but I still feel that it’s not a good enough reason to trash the idea entirely. Also, your English is pretty good for it being your second language and all. Kudos to that.
I’ve played a lot of PVP servers on various MMOs, and it usually goes along this line. Someone is out leveling or questing, they start to get camped by a specific player, so their guild or friends suddenly come over and rushes to help them. It’s a huge hilarious adrenaline rush of fun. A lot of times there’s not even PVP that happens out in the world, but when it does, it’s really entertaining. That’s one thing that makes PVP servers or channels great. The risk and reward in every day situations is really nice… and I believe the riskier the game is, the more fun it is. A lot of games have a karma system that turns you into a red player. It let’s people know you’re dangerous and there’s specific negative things that can come about being a red player. I’ve also played MMOs with a jail system as well. It’s all quite fun,
I would prefer to have the freedom of PVP out anywhere in the world as opposed to being restricted to specific rooms for PVP. There’s a reason why PVP servers are the most popular servers on every MMO I’ve ever played-- and it’s because they’re the most fun. Risk and reward boys. It’s love, it’s life.

I really have to agree with everything Blurr is saying here.
I honestly don’t think adding a PvP channel is a good idea. Don’t get me wrong though, I love PvP, and want to see it everywhere. However, the current maps are not well designed for PvP. It would be far too easy to camp areas, or spawn kill ( as when people are still loading in they are just sitting ducks ). Also someone could just switch channels mid-fight. I think making this an interesting ( not abusable ) experience would require too much change to the current game.
I think there should be PvP enabled maps, that are more designed around it, and have rewards that encourage players to take the risk to go there. Also a system of a safety zone and random distribution - to keep the elements fair. Perhaps you enter into a zone and there’s a specific bubble where you can’t be PK’d, ( to account for spawn killing ) and then you can either walk into the PK zone or be randomly teleported ( or your entire party ) somewhere on the map ( maybe the safety zone is completely separate, or there is some sort of tagging system, to stop people from attempting to abuse it for hit and run tactics ).
Stop the meaningless suggestions for now. There will be no PK that will happen. Maybe after 1-2 years of Actual Phase. But for now, we are still not in iCBT2. So stop it for now.
There are PVP though but not in open area. So let’s be content about it for now.
This is exactly the kind of close-mindedness we DON’T need. Question 7 in that interview is by no means an end-all-be-all for the subject of how PVP will be added to this game.
The game is so permeable and pliable at its early stages. NOW is the time to speak up about what the community wants out of PVP, not later. Playing catch-up is never the answer.
While the devs may not answer our prayers exactly how we want, I’d imagine we’ll get something a lot closer to what we’re looking for from them than if we didn’t speak up early on at all.
Clearly none of these suggestions are meaningless. If they were, so many people wouldn’t be chiming in with positive support.
Your blatant selfishness regarding your opinions towards the development of this game comes off as ignorance. Just sayin’.
@xShintot How is a suggestion “meaningless”?
We are showing IMC that there is an audience for this feature, we are not demanding it. I can’t give less of a damn if they said they don’t have plans for it, I will keep showing my interest on it and hope for the best.
If you don’t have any real point to contribute to the discussion you can just not post.
By the way, taking into account the number of threads in such a short time span should demonstrate how much people want this feature and pretty much harms NO ONE.
Literally all arguments against it have been completely proved wrong.
Question:
How is a suggestion “meaningless”?
Answer:
The suggestion is “meaningless” if the person you are suggesting your suggestions already decided what is what and you still insists on what you want to suggests.
Of course, you may still continue to suggests what you want but still, if they decided it, that is that. Don’t be pushy. Just because people like it, don’t assume the developer will listen to it.
Note: I’m not talking to anyone directly. I’m just not a native english speaker so I’m using you as a second person. Think of it as I’m talking to myself here.
^ This. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
@xShintot Except that you are wrong, because they were clearly talking about global PK, not just an especific channel that is completely optional and easily avoided by anyone who doesn’t want to participate in it.
There are huge differences, and you are still extremely close minded even if this wasn’t the case because you told people to stop suggesting something that a lot of people want.
I also repeat: a suggestion is not a demand.
One comment about not originally planning a feature doesn’t completely negate it as an idea for future development. Any good company that claims to listen to their users, (which IMC Games has been doing), will continue to listen and take all notable feedback into consideration.
Your feedback isn’t constructive in anyway. You’re a naysayer with very little to back up your reasoning. And those kinds of posts are a waste of everyone’s time.
Indeed the Q&A is how old? Date shows May 2014 - duhhhhhhhhhhh a Q&A wich is more than 1 year old makes every new suggestions meaningless. Even if it was 1 Month old the devs rely on new suggestions - if majority of their player want something “new” then why not? We are on a gaming forum not the Roman Senat
“don’t suggest improvements in a beta”
True that - listen to him boyz!
