Best way to build a full STR archer?

i’ve always wanted to play a full str archer, i’m thinking of doing it and i made 2 builds, tell me which one looks the best or if you have some other ideas (no mergen in r8 please, i already have one)

  1. Archer>ranger>?>wugushi3>rogue>?
    rank 3 is filler, i’ve put hunter for fun but i’m not convinced about it, the main dmg will come from wugushi, barrage+feint and rank 8-9, i don’t know if i should go hacka or wait for rank9 and fill rank8 something else

  2. archer>QS3>Rogue3>hacka
    full str + rogue should be amazing with QS3 and i really like to auto atk (already have a qs3 but i failed the build…) there are some issues with this and it will be hard to level, basically rogue is only there for sneak hit, evasion and backstab (but mainly evasion) rogue3 could be subistuted with a future hidden class if they release something

kinda hard to choose a rank 3 filler for your first build, if youre going to pvp i suggest getting QS for that stoneshot and pavise utility. ranger will help a lot in stacking arrows if you plan to go hacka.

your 2nd build, you’ll be having a hard time stacking arrows when mobbing. thats my only comment. max evasion is good though downtime is long and is very gear dependent if you dont have a bit of dex.

how about full STR iDreamy’s scout3 build? i used it as my main char but with str 3 dex 1, because my reflex isn’t very good. Double flare lv 15 is very deadly for any stationary boss

i already have a scout3 and went for a high dex A3>scout3>falco>mergen that i’m satisfied with :slight_smile: but thx for the suggestion

i think maybe i should wait for rank9 release so i can go qs3>wugu3>rogue>rank9 to use my 2 dream class wugushi and qs3 with full str and sneak hit :D:D

It is bad (horrible even). You only (ONLY) have AA and [caltrops]. More so without scout because you have no ejector seat for when ■■■■ hits the fan.

My QS3>Ro3>Sc has 550 STR and +10 didel grandcross for 1419 - 1591 atk (no gems). I’m critting fairly consistently for 10-12k. I was so impressed with myself. But then my druid’s white damage is 12k (18k crits so disillusioned right there).

The only thing my archer is really (really really) good for is hunting high profile low lv gear. That and afk rushing 290 (“free” money so I can’t complain).

“Well that’s what you get for going Sc at r8 instead of hacka or mergen”.

  1. Some guy already posted mergen skills don’t work while burrowed so mergen is definitely out.
  2. In a world of 4k upwards damage on a class that can’t heal, no invi is torture. That is what hacka is, torture. If you have the funds to get 2k def then go for it.

IMHO the only build worth going Ro3 for is A3-Sc or A2-Ra-Sc. Also I believe hacka is still on the drawing board. I believe IMC is not done changing stuff to fit the hacka play style.

But hey, I see “… hacka is meta now …” here and there and I don’t know how that could be. Could be true, could be false. You could maybe look into it.

IMO, a QS3 Wugushi3 archer can be the best full str archer. Accuracy won’t be enough for PVP thou.

wugushi c3 is very better than c2?
i think im this buid:

Archer > QS3 > Rogue > Wugu 2 > Mergen

or better go wugu 3 and wait rank 9?

i’ve read that it does much more damage but i don’t know myself, anyways i’ll go wugushi3 anyways if i pick that build since i already have a mergen

ATM i’m more oriented on the QS3>wugushi3>rogue but i’ll probably stop at wugushi 3 and wait for rank9

QS 3 wugushi 3 hakkapelle is pretty good tbh
people say hakka is great, you’ll miss on a lot of damage

i’m town between hacka or wait rank9, i have other char to play meanwhile so i’m not in a hurry, i’ll probably wait for rank9 teaser or something before deciding
