I think this is answer about everything. Both builds works almost same. It’s just about playing style.

fletcher mergen still strong in st but need a lot of patq to scale, have better dps overall, not burst.
I’m agreeing with a lot of the sentiments here about Doppel being too powerful. IMC could buff the other classes to put them on par, but that would mean that content is easier than it should be. Really I’d like to see all the Swordsmen balanced around the current Lancer/Fencer. That would likely mean a nerf to Doppels and Murmillos (Shinobis maybe) with a buff to Dragoons and Corsairs. From there I wouldn’t mind some content being made harder anyway.
the thing is: there’s no content in pvp/pve in game yet, and they nerfed cyclone/dov to the ground, u guys want put the other skills to the ground as well? to be unplayable? can’t really understand and i don’t even main doppel.
It’s not about making classes unplayable it’s about balancing them appropriately. Doppels sacrifice survivabiliy for damage, and because of that, they should be rewarded with higher damage, the problem is the damage is immense compared to the survivability loss. Lancers and Fencers who are weaker generally work fine, so it’s about bringing Doppels down to their level so Lancers and Fencers (and the other classes) can actually compete and be a one for one viable alternative.
I realy like Doppel but just go ingame and take a look around this game is full of doppels now.
Not as bad as pyros before the patch but it comes close.
regardless of whether or not Doppel gets nerfed, I’ll probably still remain a Doppel.
The concept is just fun to me and they exude power :3
Doppel has always been this strong, if geared before rework. Some can even argue stronger before re-work with 27 hits of cap cyclones (199k each) per overheats which is now not happening not even close. I can never understand before as to why only few doppels existed in Klaipeda. The rework just shuffled doppel’s skill points priority and people can gear up way more easily now than they can before. Also a lot more people play now with a very recent reset event along with how it’s too easy to level a character that they discover that it’s preety good. That’s about it.
I love my Doppel friends. <3 I don’t want them to be over nerfed I just want them to be balanced.

). I can’t think of any instance with a large group of flying mobs though (there probably is I probably just don’t pay attention enough).

my guildmate who’s been playing doppel since he began playing says that his doppel is definitely weaker than before, can’t argue since my doppel wasn’t geared before
It is. If we will take as “before” like 5 months ago, not just before rebalance, then doppel had some skills with bugs. Here is an example. Take a look on damage and on cyclone speed which doing 48 hits in 7 seconds instead of now 23 hits in 5 seconds. Damage was cap at 199.999 and now we can’t hit damage cap with cyclone wich is 555.555. Only with skills like Zornhau and with good weap and debuffs.
So copmare to that time when they fixed and nerfed Cyclone, nerfed DoV, fixed glass moles and rebalanced STR formula we have around 10 or 15 times weaker doppel now. But still doppel is best dps pve class.
Best boss killer is Cryo3Rc1 + Monk3Inqui1, accept it. Solo play doppel may be really strong, but power lies in teamplay. Add a falconer3 to make sure all shards hit, and you have a 100M damage combo.

i didnt know since i was playing shinobi during that time. tbh i really regret not playing doppel before, i could have accomplished alot more than what my shinobi have had except for pvp.
Maybe for ET, but it’s not going to be a thing for competitive WBossing. Just like pyro before, easy to counter.
Inquis is another class that needs some toning down.
does 40M damage every minute seem competitive to you? and 100M every 3 mins?
If you want to go world bossing just go druid2/3 with tipio transform gg. 1M every 8 seconds.
Seems like you don’t understand other people can break ice wall easily. Use jp scrolls on your ice wall = dead combo, use black death steam on it = dead combo, and I’m pretty sure there are more skills that can break ice walls easily.
