Best boss killer class after rebalance patch

Hello! Yesterday on Fedimian server there was a lot of arguing in shout about best dps class in pve and boss killer. Also there were ppl who didn’t believe that doppel can kill boss with ~3kk hp less than 10 sec. They asked for proof video. I won’t find anyone in game since I didn’t remember names but I hope they will find this on forum. Also maybe this helps for other players from any server who just wanted to know best dps build for pve.

I also can say that there is no difference without transcendence. I did saalus solo with same speed. Reason why I made it lvl6 only for 40F ET farming.

No hl3? Ofc NOT. Ppl just didn’t release that barb c3 has insane boost for doppel debuffs with warcry attribute.

So, you are putting 3 into Cyclone but bumping remaining skillpoints into single target skills for attributes while buffing DOV further with Frenzy. I totally like it when there aren’t too many skills considering we will get 2 more ranks.

But for now, won’t HL3 outdamage it against very fat targets?

I’ve tested both barb c3 and hl c3 for saalus boss killing on my doppel (with a untranscended +11 gale slasher - total 4,2k phys atk).

HL c3 is just better. Cyclone damage is feeble for boss killing compared to Zornhau and HL c3 skills. You just need to fit Zornhau + skyliners in the cleave + zwerhau debuff time. Warcry extending debuffs by 10 seconds isn’t as stellar as you think, specially with 3 cleave overcharges.

If you will read all comments under build there should be an answer. But I can explain again. Warcry adds +10 seconds to cleave and zwerchhau debuff that makes doppel damage 200% for target. So instead of 3 and 5 seconds you have 13 and 15 seconds 200% damage to boss from debuffs. I was testing HL3 build as well for 3 days in saalus and in ET. Both places barb C3 was better.

I also tested both build. And I have videos from both builds with 4.4k phys atk NO trancendece weapon. I just didnn’t upload them because I see no reason doing that.

Please do, I would really like to see how you do your rotations to make barb deal more damage. If you could include atribute level too it would be awesome.

My Doppel is just a saalus alt, I’m no doppel authority so I’d really like to see how a doppel main performs on similar power levels.

Its sad since on korea the Hl3 build ist the most popular Doppel build they all think HL3 is better.
So sad :<

don’t follow ktos build blindly. Test everything by ur own. This is my way to play.

maybe because ktos has better ping so they can spam skyliner faster with a little bit of dex?

@McLaughlin I also wanna see the video how barb 3 can beat HL3. Big claims there considering the amount of extra damage HL3 can pack

Hl gives you only Skyliner…

Have to say, grats to you guys that looked smooth as F. That being said, my man; the only thing your video proved was that gear will make anything work. The shear fact you are riding an out of this world Sarkmis with 121K HP speak for itself of how much gear means in the game now.

Assumption on my part would be that the HP is due to the lifeline from the linker, but even then you have more gear and silver on that toon than a white shark has teeth.

On topic discussion of barb vs High

Your claim was that warcry would extend the debuff to the point that it upsets the possible dmg gain from highlander, but as we can see in your video, you got a 5 sec extension on a debuff that is originally 5 sec, boss was at 75% when all the extra stuff fell off, putting you back on the normal rotation. The gain seem minimal and if i remember correctly warcry cd is retard.

Same as the other peeps above, I want to get into playing dopple, but at this point is just an alt
Having High C3 skills compliment Dopple very well and it feels smoother in game for me, having a second way to apply Shock when crown is down is amazing, at the same time higher uptime means more dmg from dopple as well.

Also someone did the math on another thread, and our best Point by point skill is cyclone im not sure i would be find with just 3 point on it. Is awsm you dont have to aoe, since the other dopple is probably doing it, and having a linker 3 makes it super smooth to deal with massive clumps of adds, but from a solo perspective your build is not very appealing.

Highlander - Dopple is better so far for me than Barb. In addition, it would probably work better in other groups comps that are not build around you, like the group on the video.

My two cents, not trying to put your build down or nothing as you mention that how you play it and as the video shows you are doing High end content with it, still not something people should go for as the average player wont have the gear you do.

In a way is similar to the 2 mages clearing ET effortlessly in a previous Kr video that had everybody going crazy, just to realize the guy has a 20+ high end stuff with max attributes and gear.

Nope, description is OK and always was good, just players need to think how to use it. Warcry was changed like 4-5 months ago for this change. And a lot of ppl still does nott know how OP warcry is.

Crit atk sucks compare to Concentrare, Gung Ho and Pain Barrier improve.

That korean has videos on her youtube of 30M burst with ice wall + PP without the help of Inqui + Monk, which would allow him to destory all ice wall.

oh lol, they changed description. Previously it was like “Increase duration of all selfmade debuffs” Dunno why they made wrong description when it was right before.
