Best 3 group combo

Hey guys, 2 friends and I are going to make characters to only play when eachother are on. What classes do you think would make a group trio?

A mage with a circle of linker, a cleric following any path, and one other to do the damage.

if I wanted to be more specific, perhaps Wizard-Cryo-Linker, Cleric-Priest-Priest and Swordman-Highlander-Barbarian.

Don’t worry too much about it though. You only have three days of Closed Beta Test left, so just play whatever, it’ll work out

If you have a Linker or Cryo for CC, you don’t need a lot of healing.
You can have a 1 Circle Linker (pretty much a must) with Pyro and other class would be enough.
Then adding a Cleric with any combination. It is best with C2 Cleric (due to latest changes on Heal in K-OBT) or even go Priest C3 for Monk. Either a strong Heal or add Mass Heal to it. Then the other friend can be any DPS class.

Does it really matter? You already attract what, 20 monsters by being a group of 3 people.

I suggested the barb path because I think tis more fun sooner, not because its really optimal.

next year once iOBT comes you’ll understand.

What changes happen to heal in K-OBT?

It now heals 5% of Max HP instead of 10% of Max HP, but continues to gain tiles after lvl 5 ( so lvl 10 heal will actually drop 10 tiles ).

sword -peltast - hopilte would be way better

Honestly I would get some sort of swordsman that has peltesta in it. Some sort of Cleric with preferably some priest/cleric and the last guy can be whoever really doesn’t like cleric/swordsman.

This way you can quickly snag a couple dps anytime for dungeons and in general PvE will be easier with peltesta to gather and a buffer/healer.

Maybe get a pyro2/elementalist3 for the dps if your swordy goes heavy on the tank side, even if its str.

Sword1/Peltesta1/Hop1/Cata1/Cors3 is my pick for best overall PvE gatherer. Drop flag, Taunt mobs, Stabbing/Pierce/Hexxen drops bosses.

Hmm so thats a decent buff to cleric 3 then. 15 tiles is massive area and an additional 25% more heal than before. Plus ofc the extra heal from the INT/Base dmg of the skill per tile.

Makes it a 50% max heal for cleric1 players now. Good balance change I guess.

Yes, I’m glad they did it. As it is currently, for party play, Priest c2 is too strong/desireable over the other classes. I’d like to see Krivis get some type of offensive-based heal ( something like divine stigma would be ok, kill a tagged mob and heal 10% of party member’s HP ), and a Dievdirby heal ( likely a statue, maybe it ticks over time and applies an AoE heal or regen buff? ).

This change makes a cleric c2/c3 build far more valid.

There’s more heals coming in other classes I think. Im fine with priest heal being really good since their buffs are kind of crappy later and max out pretty low.

I just think it’s crazy you could get Cleric2/Krivis3/Druid and have the 3 highest damage spells, 2 invincibilities while still having a really good basic heal. Thats why I have to disagree with Krivis ever getting a heal.

Play a Krivis 2/3. It’s hell ( I made one ). It sounds good on paper, but isn’t very good in practice. Zaibas with the splash attribute uses more of it’s total hits in order to do splash damage - so you actually don’t get an AoE like you’d think, you just use it up faster.

Priest buffs favor multi hit. As long as you’re taking advantage of that ( multi hit skills, sacrament gives another hit, etc ) bless still adds a lot of damage even at lvl 200. An arde dagger is still good to use at lvl 200 ( for mage, if not that then karacha ). What is bless? Basically another arde dagger as non-elemental damage. Who wouldn’t want that?

they also butchered Priest’s Mass Heal. Probably the same way. Exact numbers are yet to be confirmed.

Yeah there still good at 200. I just like to think ahead and blessing/sacra seem pretty bleh if your lvl 500+

On the other hand at 600 you can have like 1700 int and thats if rank 10 is the highest rank. Then you can expect Cure/Ziabas to be doing a metric crapton of damage ;p

To be fair the heal changes are a good thing. With heal going up to 15 tiles now it really rewards someone for going cleric c3 hopefully they do the same with mass heal make it rewarding to rank up to max.

Not really, until they give a very good C3 skill.
As compare to Priest C3, Stone Skin has been a clear top skill (I think they will nerf it, and reduce less on SPR).
Krivis C3 is crappy as well. Huge SP cost as a channel (I assume it can be intercept).

Except for Priest, Monk, Paladin (those names from Ragnarok), other C3 in Cleric does not seem to be worthy for going C3.

I may have worded it poorly i didn’t mean c3 specifically just that the heal changes encourage you to take more cleric circles in general to make heal better.

I won’t argue that there are alot of ■■■■ c3 skills lol.

To be honest, I play with two others and we love Two Wizards and a Cleric. Although having a swordsman for massive damage could be nice too.

Linker is one of the best party classes, especially with cleric and nearly any of their advancements.

Cryo is great for cc, especially if you go linker than elementalist. Pyro is nice because you can link your damages skills as well as enemies to pull them together. Cleric’s Cure is a destructive force when tied to a linker with max link and Hangman’s knot. Having another wizard with a linker allows you to chain and destroy mobs very swiftly.
