Be warned, IMC has no intention to fix problems

Around 12.20 a.m GMT+8, Telsiai Tenet Church area Ch1 continuously crashed for like 30mins. Although I wasnt sure how many times it crashed(because it just crashed again right after ch1 restarted), I believe it happened atleast 10 times or more. I sent a support ticket to inform the issue. This is what I got in return.

Haha IMC…funny.
Just a warning for people intending to buy TP. Think twice. They dont even believe the hackers crash channels. Next time if you see bots, restart your internet and they will be gone.

Yea, I give the game 6 months, at most, before plug is pulled.

I give it 4 years and some change. I’ve played worse games that lasted longer.

Uh, tell us something new? IMC being hostile to iTOS is well known.

haha i understand your frustrations… look at the thread around Orsha’s hook64 user that abused it beyond what we can capture in the video… we have an evidence he used hook, and requesting an investigation.
No news or updates from GM/staffs. This guy is now just mocking the guys reporting him, his guild members trying to kill the thread by lying that he is already “banned”.

Very frustrating customer service indeed.

More hyperbole, mute and moving on

Wow, you’re reading alot into that response email that isn’t actually there.

At no point did they tell you “we refuse to fix anything”, all they said was “please make sure it’s not your connections/computers fault. if the problem still exists after you have checked your side, feel free to contact us again and we’ll start an investigation if the problem is on our side”.

You need some more exercise in reading comprehension.

And do you know why they do it this way? because a company can’t start a full investigation everytime some dumb idiot calls them with some problem.
Do you also expect google or facebook to do a full server investigation everytime someone writes on twitter “i can’t connect to google/facebook. help!”? Hell no, that’d be a huge waste of time. First you have to make sure your pc and your connection is not the problem and only then they need to start an investigation.

Do you know how often people call customer services, yelling at them and accusing them of selling a faulty product when it then turns out is that they forgot to plug in the power supply and that’s why their device doesn’t work? It happens a lot. That’s why customer service usually wants to make sure the problem is not on the customers side before they bother their company with an investigation.

Now, that’s not saying that IMC doesn’t ■■■■ up or that no problems exist (oh boy, they have ton’s of problems), however you’re unfairly accusing them of saying something that’s in no way indicated in the email response you’ve gotten.

If it really was a channel crash then it’s most likely their fault (be it a server error or a client bug), however support protocol usually says that the support person needs to make absolutely sure that the problem is not on the clients side.

standard customer service reply, nothing much to see

I don’t have to list everything from step one to explain how it gets to the conclusion ‘they refuse to fix things’ no? I know you want to look smart but atleast make sure you don’t waste too much of my time explaining things.

First of all, I’d like to say there is no way one can mistake a normal disconnection from channel crash because:

  1. Players(as in including other players, my friend, those bots in the channel and the hacker) were kicked back to character selection screen. Try disconnect your internet when your character is online, does it return to the Character Selection screen or the Server Selection screen? The answer is server selection screen. If they asked this, they could’ve confirmed the issue to be hacker related.

2.The channel was simply gone and it said ‘channel full you will be redirected to another channel’. Only channel 2 and 3 were available. Common sense tells me when this happens, it can only either be case 1, too many players or case 2, channel crashed. The channel was at about 15/100 when the first crash occured. I dont think you call that as too many players unless TOS server is so pathetic. The channel was gone for a while. I constantly monitored the channels before and after it restarted. The player count became 0, and only slowly increasing. I immediately tried to get into the channel but was kicked out again not long after loading. The channel player count went back to 0 after it reappeared.

Of course they didnt say it directly. If they are eager to fix the problem, or atleast stop the cheater, the first thing they should say is ‘please provide information for further investigation’ and carry out the investigation immediately. If you take like hours to start an investigation, by the time the GM or whoever that investigates arrived, the cheater has already done whetever they have to and left. This doesnt only apply to channel crash. Even for RMT, if the bots were not dealt with within hours or days, there is a high chance they can transfer the currency/items to another character or account to avoid losing the currency from ban.

If your channel crashed and you were aware of it as channel crash, will you report the issue? Do you report issues? So cheaters will always get away unscathed if they do their channel crash in channels/servers with nobody/too little to prove anything? Ignoring a known issue is a sin. Here, the first thing they did was doubt the player. Nice. This is not the first time they’ve received complains about channel crash and they should be aware of the problem. Do you think you will ever get like more than 2 players ‘happens to be in the channel crash scene’ and ‘happens to aware of it as channel crash’ and ‘happens to have the time to go all the way to the support page to report the issue’? You will never find more than 2 of such reports for less crowded channels/server. Their full of fault game is always perfect until someone can prove the issues with multiple scientifically written threads with picture demonstrating every single points and paragraphs written in proper manner, when the players(writter) themselves were already about to explode from the anger of facing the bugs/hacks/bots issues.

I have to say this. I’m here as player, not as bot/bugs reporter, so do other players. I specially took my time to visit this support page that i’ll never touch in my life for any other games that have no serious problems. Submitted a ticket that includes all my character/account details and the ticket was closed everytime. I simply dont have time to keep posting a new ticket just to follow up with the case when the problem isn’t even from my end. I was only there to inform the issue. They are the one that should investigate. The difference between a good customer support and a bad one is the good customer support will take the first few tickets seriously, while the bad customer support will only take the case seriously when received alot of similar reports. You expect the cheaters to sit there for hours after done with their hacker stuff when they clearly won’t be stupid enough to stay there and wait for ban? I wonder if they will ever fix anything?

This isn’t anything new. Most of us here were aware of how bad IMC manage things. I din’t post this thread to beg IMC to fix issues. In fact I don’t really care how it goes. I’ll just play my game as usual. However, as a player, I have the responsibility to make sure new players are aware of the current state of game and how they do things/treat players, before they bought TP and feel betrayed. Whether they believe it or not, they will find it out themselves in-game.

I think the disconnect here, is you think IMC is a very large AAA publisher and developer.

They are not, should we let that be an excuse; no. But it is the reality.

You should probably just step away from the game temporarily or permantly if it causes this much headache for you.

Just anecdotal, I was very much like you and the whihueknights, maybe 10-15 years ago. Then I realized it was just a game and I could go outside or play something else if it was that bothersome.

This is like No Mans Sky, we asked for it by playing on a indie developer game

This is nothing like no man’s sky.

Oh yes its worse because while both fail at MMO aspects, TOS can’t even maintain 30fps with some action on screen.

Haha, quite apparent you dont know anything about NMS.

…No Man’s Sky is a survival simulator. It’s the exact opposite of an MMO; to the point where people have tried to meet up in the game but the game won’t allow it. As if it’s a single player game.

Now, if you want to ■■■■ on a dev studio that went way in over their heads, fine. But atleast be politically correct to the genres you’re bashing.

…They totally lied about the MMO aspects, surely you didn’t miss all the rage about that? single player game is totally not how they marketed the game before release.

Dont worry IMC will provide more pedophile costumes for all of us, including xp tomes (7 days expiry)

Why more costumes? The characters look underage enough regardless of clothes.

Coz costume wh*res loves it and will buy it regardless on how IMC treats its costumers.

Huehuehue… No need to fix bugs, ban cheaters/exploiters and add content as long as they buy things from IMC
