Barbarian, Peltasta and Doppels! I NEED YOU!

Hi,

So right now I am Lv.119, Rank 4. Based on the build I’ve made by myself, I have a few questions regarding to last three Ranks I have decided to pick. I would prefer these questions be answered by people who have used/tested the skills in question, as opposed to those giving assumed answers, Thank you

Barbarian:
So just to clarify, does Warcry give additional physical attack?
I mean… regardless of whether a target is tagged or not by the de-buff, I’m having trouble understanding this. Logically, you will do more physical damage to a target if their defences are lowered, but does this skill Increase your physical attack AND decrease their physical defence?

Peltasta:
Does Block rate consider Physical SKILLS as well as physical ATTACKS (Auto Attacks)? (For example, if I use the manual block which, as I’ve read, simply increases the block stat for the duration the stance is held, can I block a physical skill like Helm Chopper?

Does a successful block negate the CC component of a skill? (For example: Stone Shot, which can stun). I chose this skill specifically because it is a “Missile” type skill, so please do take that into consideration and answer as if the skill in question is similar.

Can a target be Knocked Down AND Stunned? In other words, can a target be afflicted with both of those status effects at once? This is in regards to the skill Umbo Blow which, when levelled up, can be upgraded with two attributes. The first attribute when maxed gives a 25% chance to stun the target. The second attribute causes Umbo Blow to knockdown the target.

If the answer to the above question is No; when the mentioned attributes are applied, which CC takes priority? The Knock down or Stun?

Doppelsoeldner:
Does the skill Mordschlag knockdown the target enemy?

and Finally, is the skill Punish viable in a PvP/1v1 scenario? I know this is probably opinion based, and I actually encourage fellow Doppels to discuss this.

PvP is still young so it goes without saying many balance changes, will be brought up in order to mature the experience, but with all that said, I still love it and want to actually prepare something for it!

Thank you for reading, and if you need me to explain a question different, tell me and I will!

Alright, here we go.

Warcry works likes this. You use it on up to 5(10 with c3 attribute) targets. You gain the following attack damage:

(Defense reduction * Number of enemies debuffed) + 30 if you have the attribute. Note that the defense reduction scales with level, but not all monsters will have the defense that is needed. I have found this from personal testing. If you used it on a bunch of popolions, they only have a defense around 8 or so, so you would gain 8 attack * number of popolions.

To answer your question, yes it both raises your attack (sometimes a considerable amount) and slightly lowers their defense.

Block blocks physical attacks (when the RNG works, that is). They could be skills or autoattacks. Manual block does in fact simply raise your block stat by a HUGE amount. There is also block penetration, though, which allows you (or enemies) to bypass block.

CC takes priority in whichever comes first. A target can receive 2 forms of CC simultaneously though.

Punish is bad. The animation is too slow. That’s the pretty general consensus. Let’s hope it sees buffs.

Thank you SO much for all of those answers. It was really helpful in helping me craft a build around what I currently have.

With that said though, do you know anything about Mordschlag? Does it knock down the target?

Glad I could help. I believe it is the exact same knockdown/back combo as bash, but I could be mistaken.

You know, I never knew how Warcry actually works, now I know.

Thanks, here a cookie for you :cookie:

No problem. Skill info is a bit sparse to say the least, so I like to do some testing in game as well. I got super confused when I tested it on monsters with defense lower than the skill’s description though!

yeah it knocks down. do note though that it is like 5 times as far as bash knockdown and about 150% more than umblow

AH I see, so it’s more of a knock back if anything… Is the damage worth while?
