Auto-pot and Restrict level to obtain silver from monsters

Is auto-pot considered as BOT and will be banned also?
I have talked with some ppl who are using this add-on and they strongly stated that auto-pot is an add-on which is allowed by the GM. They wont get banned when using this add-on (the same with the exp calculator add-on).
They also mentioned that all the add-on on this site: http://tosmod.com/auto-potion are official accepted by GM.
Is it true or not? If it’s true, then everything is really ridiculous…

Second point:
I suggest that IMC should limit the level of obtaining silver while killing monster 10 level lower than players. This can help limit a lot of botter in Dina bee farm. I am in Varena server and all players who are leveling in Dina bee farm knew Ms. Lina lvl 230+ fletcher (cash member, with expensive customs who have been botting unstoppable in Dina bee farm channel 4 for months. And because of her special status, GM cant ban her). Reason why she sticks with Dina bee farm spot is FARMING SILVER. If IMC wont let these annoying bugs obtain silver from farming low level monster, these bugs will go.

Auto pot has been mentioned by IMC a couple times as ban-able.

Just ban these sorcerers AFK in the spots. They are ruining some grind spots like Demon Prison and Dina Bee for the low levels.

Being AFK is not a ban situation, even if it sounds unfair. You have to deal with it.

A sorcerer AFK cant maintain the summon without a bot/addon for the potion.

If it’s an addon then it’s bannable.

If it’s macro, like modding your keyboard, then it’s not. It was in the news.

Modding game = yes. Modding keyboard = no.

that is not Sorcerer fault, it is addons fault ^^

And those people busy watching youtube or talking in party/ guild chat are getting reported too lol

HAHAHAHAHAHA If your class can do it I’m sure you’ll do it too.

I’m amazed, people are really defending AFK macro players ruining respawns 24h/day. No wonder the MMO’s are ruined by bots.

Its not about believing or not, but its just surprising to see people suporting macros/unfair play openly in the forum. Normally people have some common sense and at least hide that sh’t way of thinking on MMOs.

I just hope imc would mimic that system in RO when if you afk with an homunculus for xx time your character will not gain exp nor loot. Unfair play exist in any game not in online games alone.

However, it’s like playing basketball and then this guy is just standing there and he gains somehing in this example. He gains a point for himself w/o doin anyhing.

@lifeoutpines @DrRM A link to the news article specifically pointing out the auto-pot addon would be appricated. If they were going to ban for it, I suspect they would have with the ban wave for using cxanywhere.

@dg_kurpp @superb I highly suspect that using this addon or ANYTHING really to indefinitely keep a summon up is going to be bannable in the near future. Sorc summons are designed to have to be maintained actively by the player (its the whole reason for the sp drain with sp regen disabled). Circumventing this is exploitation of things outside the game and a no-brainer as far as banning goes. This is the reason that I don’t use the addon as a sorcerer.

This would be bad for the game in a few ways. First, sorcerers are supposed to maintain summons as it is so they would be considered “active” by the game and not affected by this. Bots would also be active. You would just be affecting leechers, which wouldn’t be a good thing. Homunculi in RO were basically another character attached to an alchemist so this system made sense there as they didn’t need to be maintained, were actually smart (if you used MirAI), and were also extremely overpowered after a point (gotta love that lvl 10 bolt spam).

am more lazy than you and I found it myself… do the same

it’s not about been mean, it’s about giving you the experience so you don’t waste time making more threads like this or get banned…

I don’t have anything against sorc. However, there comes a point where afk camping is just too much.

Example demon prison. Spots are taken by them in every channel. If they were sme level as you then you wouldnt mind. However most of the time they’re around 250 up. And here you are wanting to gain some level but fail to do so since you can’t touch them mobs.

There is not a single argument to defend AFK farming. Doesnt matter if its with a macro, addon or bot. Its all the same.
