That’s for you to decide; will you be using kneeling shot often? level 10 kneeling shot is really really fast but some people don’t want to sitdown and shoot stuff unless all you are doing is world bossing. But that imo is hella boring.

heard of its nerf? that stopped me from going

They no longer will be able to be used at the same time ktos change that will likely come to itos
here:
TLDR:
Using auto-attack during retreat shot cancels it, so you cannot slow walk during RS (if you don’t have wall to lean on
)
The +25% Crit ate can be alleviated by Hunter’s Coursing skill. For bosses(if that doesn’t work) Gems might be I guess.
A1 > QS3 > Hunter > Falconer > Cannoneer for the much needed AoE could work.

Would you tell me how many hour you need to level to 80?

I’m a QS3 who went
Archer2 QS3 Falconer1 Cannoneer1
I rarely see anyone going this build. I think people may have questions about going QS3 - Cannoneer, so I wanted to give my experience.
Stats: Roughly 2.5 STR:1 DEX ratio with ~50 CON.
Equip: Grand Cross, Mana-mana, Sissel, Cafrisun
It’s okay I guess. I get field boss cubes most of the time (including Dullahan) assuming I get there early enough. But I have 30ms ping which may be another factor, so your results may differ…
Circling + Cannon Brast is actually pretty nice but not mindblowing like Frost Cloud and Broom Trap. I wish Circling had a lower cooldown.
In parties, the timing is really tight if you want to Circling > Cannon Brast > Multishot > Multishot due to equip switching lag and server lag making Multishot take longer than it should to charge.
You will NOT replace Ele3 Frost Cloud damage in grind parties. Cannoneer damage is burst AoE that speeds things up, but will never approach Ele3’s power.
Most people offer much praise for Joint Penalty, but almost no one ever notices Circling or cares about it.
Hovering is an interesting zoning skill for PvP. Since it basically spams a knockdown in its AoE radius. People who know what Hovering does will generally try to stay away from it.
By any chance, do you have any guild members or know anyone with Hunter? Can you test Rush Dog with Circling for me?
That’s my supposed build.
What I have in mind is…
During boss fights.
-
Equipped with Musket, cast Hunter skills and Snipe + Headshot then Hovering of Falconer.
-
Swap to Grand Cross, cast Running shot until it expires
-
Repeat 1 and 2.
So what happens is that, I have constant bonus damage from both Pets and uses them during the down time of RS.
Without RS Gem, I have 27 Seconds of RS, 8 Seconds to do all that are in Step one.
No Archer 2 for Swift Step bonus because of Coursing from Hunter.(dunno if it works for bosses though)
If you were talking to me, I haven’t seen a single Hunter in game…
What do you want to know about Circling + Rush Dog? I mean basically you want to know if Rush Dog has an AoE radius?
btw, I’m not sure if 8 seconds is enough to cast all of that on field boss fights. (And definitely not possible with Divine Might and Laima)
With the current terrible game client, MVPs with more than 15 people on screen are a Powerpoint/Keynote presentation.
Hell, I can barely jump out of Kneeling Shot to use Cannon Blast and re-cast Swift Step/Running Shot due to the 10 fps gameplay.
Yes, Rush Dog can hit multiple enemies if they are clumped together. It doesn’t have an AoE circle like Multishot most likely because it will hit what you have your cursor is at.
However Rush Dog stops, I think, on the first enemy it hits. So if there’s anything between the Companion and the supposed target, the one in between gets hit instead.
Yes, I’m thinking of the same thing, reason why I might actually not go into Cannoneer or Musket for that same reason. Could go for Archer 2 for Swift Step buff though. Would also remove the need to swapping. However, I’d lose the AoE.
Other than Musket or Canon, there’s nothing worth taking other than Archer2.
I can take Falconer2 for Sonic Strike 5, Hovering 10, Circling 10 but I think Circling will cancel if you make the Hawk do other things?
If I’ll take Hunter2, the only good thing I can get out of it is Rush Dog 10 and Snatching 10 for Flying bosses. Retrieve don’t work on bosses but the -50 Defense from the Attribute might help.
The actual point of the build is to continually focus on Running Shot and re-casting Damage over Time during it’s down time. So Falconer2 is more favored IMO.
just do them on the cd of the others?
I don’t really know anything about Hunter so I’ll just respond with some thoughts on the parts I know a bit about.
I’ve only ever played Falconer1, but I would not get higher than Falconer1. I don’t see any point in getting Circling over 5 (even getting level 5 is debatable for PvE with the current AoE defense values—in theory level 3 is enough for PvE).
You can’t use other Falcon skills while Circling is up. You can’t even use Call to “cancel” your Falcon’s current skill.
I think a QS/Wugushi build could fulfill that requirement: Focus on RS and re-casting DoTs during RS’ downtime. Since Wugushi’s damage is a DoT, MAYBE not getting Archer2 is fine. (But Kneeling Shot is pretty good for QS3…)
I’ve never tried a QS/Wugushi build though, so I’m no expert.
I think Scout for Flare Shot is also an interesting choice. A small AoE over time which at level 15 has a little bit less damage than Frost Cloud level 5.
What does Snatching do on flying bosses? I know Snatching grounds flying mobs, but does it do something else useful?
just in case you didn’t know, flying boss-type mobs can be hit by ground effects due to their XL size. Maybe I am missing something about Snatching though
