Aspersion - Relevance in Late Game?

Aspersion offers a % increase to physical defense. Lets assume I’d be getting level 10 or 15 in aspersion for sake of argument, and I’m interested in results against my own class (monk) as opposed to a dedicated tank.

The % suggests it is going to scale into end-game, but I am hoping someone has already done the math or a test to know for certain if this skill drops off or maintains as you progress.

Some basic before/after numbers against a higher level melee enemy would be nice to see if you know/remember off hand.

Current important of defense: None.

Even at lvl 200 defense was already useless. Especially seeing how it acted as a flat dmg reduction in pve.
Mob dmg simply scales to high 2k at 180 ish, 3-5k at earth tower. While defense is around 500-700 ish.

But for chaplain it scales aspergillum damage, so for them it is a good skill to max.

Thank you for the input. From your explanation it sounds like Aspersion will only get worse as enemy damage climbs away from player defense.

I’ll probably go:
Cleric > Priest1-2 > Cleric > Monk 1-3
Instead of:
Cleric > Priest1-3 > Monk 1-3

Sounds like defense-wise I may be better off going for Cleric2, as safety wall and additional healing would provide far more sustainability/resilience than Priest3 would.

I’m essentially gambling that there are better “offensive” options past Rank8 for a melee cleric and trying to get the basic, no-gimmick blocks/heals which scale well early on.

All str/dex clerics have to make that gamble atm.
And Shepard/Lama(Dancer)/Fortune teller are expected for the next rank update. (hopefully one is a hidden class)

Which doesn’t look to promising for str options…

???

Are you talking about Macumbeiro? I doubt Lama would have anything to do with dancing. XD

Also we know about Zealot too and I rly think that should be a physical cleric class.
I don’t know which one should we expect btw… I rly hope Shepherd will show up at last.

Not entirely sure what lama was based on, so that could also be it.
Sounded unlike a phys build though, unless it’s buddhims related.

I’m rather curious what they’ll do with shepard, should have potential for new type of cleric builds.

Zealot does sound physical oriented. So there may be hope yet.

I’m sure Lama is buddhism related.
Lama wiki
I don’t think there is anything else that is called Lama.
I think they will have meditation skills…whatever would that be… X) but I’m not sure they will have physical oriented skills or not…we will see.

Shepherd definitely looks interesting. Also it could be easily built like it is good for both physical and magical builds.
