It seems like staff on the forums have been a lot more active lately, which I’m really happy to see and appreciate.

With that said, there are a few important questions I think that should be answered by staff. So hopefully @STAFF_J, @STAFF_Shawn or @STAFF_Marikim can shed some light.

  • Recently @STAFF_J mentioned that kCBT and iCBT will be synchronized:
    Using same client for CBT2?
    Does this mean that new classes will be introduced in iCBT2?

  • Many of use feel the forum is lacking moderation, will staff be more active in the future in the forums, or will we continue with the discourse method of self moderation? I noticed that staff for kToS are much more active in-game as opposed to on the boards. EU/NA games tend to have more of a balance.

  • Are the staff/GM’s exclusively for the International version, or do you also work for other versions of ToS?

  • There seems to be an issue with music copyright when uploading YouTube videos with ToS music, there was a staff response on August, is there any progress on this?:

  • Will we be able to use the steam wallet for the cash shop?

  • Will there be local publishers that offer a portal service for the international version?
    EX. Heroes of the Storm uses Asiasoft SEA as a portal service:
    http://heroes.playpark.com/
    EX. Daum acts as a portal publisher for many games in Korea, such as Scarlet Blade.

  • Will there be a manual patch later to patch without steam?

If anyone else has questions they’d like answered by the staff, please post it here, and hopefully they can provide some answers.

Edit: Just wanted to say,staff already answered the question concerning the post about iCBT2.They said it was because of an influx of spam posts on the topic.In the future they should consider disabling comments on their announcement posts.

I have some questions too.

  1. About music copyrigh, it’ve been 2 months, how is it going?: Music copyright when i upload video on youtube?
  2. Did they fix the FPS problem when u have a huge group of people, which just like the last iCBT when they drop some bosses. I can see nobody can get 30FPS.
  3. Would IMC consider about make local publisher become a supporter for local player that could help local player very much with top up, bug report, translation. Just like Heroes of the Storm is publishing by Blizzard and they got Asiasoft SEA as a supporter for SEA player http://heroes.playpark.com/
  4. Can we use Steam wallet to top up in the future?

There’s no fix for the lag/FPS drop during town boss summons. When a town gets loaded with players like that, it’s impossible not to lag.

Good question about the music copyright. One of my videos still has copyright from INgrooves

Cuz i heard this game just run with 1 core of CPU.
And i like to have a function that can lets we hide players.

IMC initially said ToS was intended for ultrabook(laptops) gaming. but laptops cannot handle that much FPS drop.

More recently they’ve been doing some client changes to make the game more stable, especially for low-end pc’s. Optimization will forever be a work in progress, but situations like getting stable FPS during the boss summoning event seems like it will still be difficult.

  • ive played OGPLatale on steam and i can use my steam money for ingame cosmetics, i hope its the same for tree of savior

This means an English speaker person who’s currently living in one of those countries won’t be able to play the game at all?

Or is it just talking about the language?

Actally, everybody who live in those country can’t play iCBT 2.
Need to use VPN.

If KCBT had a new class and ICBT didn’t, they wouldn’t be synchronized.

You mean the possibility of hiring localization companies to translate and provide customer service in the local language without hosting anything or buying the local rights to the game? I’d be surprised if they did that, since they’re taking the community volunteer route with translations, the publisher would take a cut of the profit, and this still leaves the issues of language barriers between players and latency. It might work if imc sets up regional servers under imc technical administration instead of using international for everything.

Local publishers can request IP blocks as part of their licensing agreement. Either take it up with your publisher or use a proxy/VPN to get around it.

Now for a practical question,

  • If you had a pet popolion, what would you feed it?

kCBT is having some odd changes atm, and new classes aren’t in yet but are coming. They didn’t mention if they would stay in sync after launch so it’d be nice to know.

It’s mostly for local payment services, as well as local events, etc. That’s what portals do.
