Are you still Hype on TOS?

I am an early access player. When the game launched, i was hyped and very interested in TOS ( i never play CBT) and also as an ex-RO player too. I will pay to play if i think it worth (so that’s why i bought the early access pack).

However, after playing for these 2-3 months, i slowly lost my hype to TOS. Part of reason, i am busy with my Real Life too, so i am unable to invest so much time to play this game. And this game require you to spend more time if you want to get stronger.

The ridiculous thing in this game is their trading system / Market. I understand this is to control fraud or whatever crime is. But the legal players suffer, good job IMC, you’re so clever! :).

I want to earn more silvers to learn attributes, stronger eqs weapon. Oh yeah, the market system is a joke for me. Min price? max price? 2 days countdown to get your that little silver earned (when your junks sold).

So players do think about trading like any mmorpg, which in this game is also a joke, silver untradable. I try to go on maps to farm, it’s so pity, went to desert maps, silver farmed is ridiculous slow, went to popular maps, we see many Botters friends, lifeless players who play 24/7 which stay at the hot spot never leave. So i gave up on maps farming. Instant dungeon? if only unlimited entry allow…

(I wonder why TOS never sell silver in TP since they can earn $$. But restrict us so much from earning silver. They banned gold sellers, but it never end too. Just don’t understand why? If players easily farm silver or earn silver via trading, they may not want to buy from those gold seller.)

When Go to grind, thank god my poor eq and low silver makes me die easily. Do the quest lines, repeatable n repeatable things make me so boring. KIll XXX monster 15/15, hunt item 15/15, talk to A, B C n D…tadah get your exp cards.

In earlier time when the hype still there, I played after i back from work, weekends. After few weeks, I only played on weekends. Nowadays, i feel so lazy to log in even in weekend, unless i am really boring. Since if i logged in, what i can do is also the boring quest lines.

Just wonder what is the interesting part of this game now, maybe i have missed out something. I just feel this game is so boring because of so many restrictions and botter friends.

It’s really up to someone on how they can make their ToS experience enjoyable.

already not after 3 months at kr server
but i still have hope and play here for another month and i think i make the wrong choice :\

I’m absolutely besotted with ToS. shrug It’s not that I don’t see the problems, it’s just that I’ve played enough MMOs over the years that didn’t even hold a candle to this game, which continued to grow over the years and are still running.

ToS has a lot of stuff embedded into it that you have to actively search for, with the release of the international version alongside the Korean version we don’t have a wiki with everything laid out for us either–there’s a sense of discovery for everything from formulae to lore that has been missing in modern MMORPGs for years now. I’m glad to see it. There are plenty of things that need worked on/fixed/removed/added/ect but there’s a lot more that is pretty amazing to me. The former can be said about every MMO on the market right now, the latter… very few titles.

Still quite interested. But probably because I love the feeling of being able to clear/ achieve things - “that feeling when most things can be put into places they are meant to be” ( Quest lines. 100% map, mob count achievements,etc).

Still happy to see mythology from my origin featured in the game, though as I get deeper in the game I kind of feel it fading away.

My hype has dried down at the end of iCBT2, I’m super okay with it and I enjoy my time playing the game :slight_smile:

Yepp. I still have some goals to finish and other places and different playstyles to try. And also… I really want to buy that FF9 on steam.

+1 for FF9.Best in the series.

And no,I’m not as raging hype for the game as I was last year with things being the way they are now.But this game still has special meaning to me,and I still find enjoyment from it.Hopefully the issues can be worked through with time.

I’m pretty well convinced that once the major kinks are worked out the game is going to continue to become a very unique item on the MMO market.

Losing the hype kinda. I hate the market structure, waiting days to get my chump change that I need to upgrade my gear. Inability to freely trade, and trade is limited when you become premium. have to pay to use “Team Storage”? Not much of a team when your characters can’t benefit from each other. Pets taking up potential character slots and no independent Pet Slot. Great game play but the planning for it was not well thought out.

I love this game a lot as an Ex-RO GM and Payer but I might lose interest

I lost my hype 3 weeks ago. Got it back when I got my first arde dagger and it was amazing!

Almost 4 months until I got mine, like a few days ago. I know that feel. It felt so good I squealed like a little girl over Discord.

That said, my hype for the game is dead. But that’s not a bad thing, I enjoy it and it fills what I needed in an MMO: A game that honestly has an extremely enjoyable core but a rough outside that still needs to be ironed out. I’ve made friends, I have fun, and despite laziness I return back to the game to at least do something.

I’ll advocate the game when it’s edges become more refined, as I know it will.
