Archer3-Ranger1-Rogue1-SR2 Question

Hello, I am currently making a new archer and planning on going this build I just made up. http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/kqwimjd7oc/

I looked up which skills can be used while mounted and it seems like feint+barrage combo can’t be used while mounted but I want to know if I can just dismount and use feint and mount up again and then use barrage for the combo or do you have to stay dismounted while feint barraging?

Nobody knows or can try it??

Dismount>Feint>Barrage x3>Re-mount, is the easiest to do.

Feint is the only part of that combo that requires dismounting. So I would suggest using that combo after you use retreat shot//concentrated fire and do that between Retreat shot cooldowns.

Exactly but that is what I want to know. If I can cast feint and then mount and use barrage for the extra hits from the feint+barrage combo.

From what I understand you don’t want to stay dismounted for long cause if the pet dies you can’t mount again which is why I want to know if I can just dismount quickly, cast feint, mount and then barrage so I don’t have to worry about the pet dying. Thank you for your answer though.

yea, after you feint you can remount and barrage. No problem.

Thank you so much for your time and answer, appreciate it.

I run a similar build and you have to dismount in order to do the combo, just remember that dismounting is worse than it sounds because alot of the time your pet just runs off and dies, and you have to wait to mount it as it revives. Also in the case that it dies, you lose the pet stamina which means you either have to feed it or lose the pet riding buffs.

What do you mean with you have to dismount in order to do the combo? I know you have to dismount to use feint, but I thought you could mount instantly again and use barrage for the feint+barrage combo to get the extra hits/damage on barrage. You make it sound like you have to dismount and use feint+barrage and then mount up again, is that right?

Yes, you are correct. When you use Feint while mounting, you will automatically dismount from your pet. But the problem that @Peace is trying to explain is that after you dismount to use Feint, your pet will often roam freely and do something stupid to get itself killed. In other words: a huge set back.

Another issue with dismounting is trying to get back on your pet. A lot of times it feels clunky and difficult to do because your pet can be very erratic and make it hard to remount, which becomes prominent during boss battles.

Pets severely need more controllable AI so you can have an option to make them stay idle.
