Archer Weapon Stance Limitations

Does anyone else feel that the initial Archer rank is too limited in stance requirements? Only one skill in the Archer rank (basing this off of the tosbase skill simulator) allows for use through any weapon stance while the Ranger allows three skills for use with any stance which basically makes it a requirement to go Ranger if you want to use guns.

I feel that having the skills of Ranger would be better as a rank 1 instead of rank 2 because of this :frowning: does anyone else agree or am I being too picky in wanting more diversity from the Archer Class?

Well, that’s why the quickslot is there. You can always have a good shield, and switch quickly between a crossbow and a pistol. I think stuff like this is a major part of the game.

I still find it weird that you can fire multiple arrows out of a pistol though (around 2:20) and not a single arrow :confused:

I’m totally okay with it tho.
even you go Archer and then go Ranger,at least you have +5% walking speed with Swift Step lv 1. and around +10% at lv 5
also, being a pistol does have advantages. such as fast mobility and fast shooting. .
it will unfair with those who going for crossbow path if things go like you wanted to, I believe. . so, balance :blush:

even with Ranger being rank 2, you could go full circle 3 of it, getting all the ranger;s potentials . . and you have 1 rank more to go, assuming you go to rogue class to get its buff as well, (sneak hit and feint), and then you go to Schwarz. . in Schwarz you get even more badass skills and high mobility. . so, what else do you need?

No, you’re right. I was just thinking of classes later on too like the musketeer but that’ll all come up hopefully in the international tests and I trust IMC in making the game balanced, diverse, and fun. :blush:

do we really going to have musketeer class? I never knew about that

well. . sorry it might disappoint you. but it might be a basic costume for Pied Piper class

I mentioned this in my original thread about these classes. The item files seem to have the same sprites as some other costume items, but I’m pretty sure they’re just placeholders. There are two unannounced swordsman classes that are in the same boat (Panzer and Dragoon). Both share the same sprite for Murmillo. Also, there is a specific Pied Piper costume item, already.

Depends on rangers attack speed, damage out put, cool downs, CC potential, Mana consumption, blah blah blah. Too early to tell what classes are actually good and what aren’t.

Well, if everything goes as IMC is surely planning, there won’t be classes that are “good” as a whole, just better than others in certain areas. It is also apparent and officially described that Ranger is going to focus on AoE / Group damage.
