EDIT: TL;DR: What do you think of a 2dex:2spr:1str or a 2dex:1spr:1str archer stat build?
I am planning on making an ArcherC2>SapperC3>FalconerC1>Cannoneer skill build and am wondering what would be the optimal stat build is. After scourging the interwebs I have seen a huge array of variance. Here is the gist of what I have found.
-
Majority strength builds greatly increase physical and crit damage. From what I have seen people tend to only find this better in the early game, so I plan to stray away from this in favor of the long term. Although strength helps alot with the Sapper aspect of my build, I believe my stat points could be put to better use.
-
Majority dex builds have high evasion, accuracy, and crit rate. The dex builds tend to focus on not getting hit at all with evasion and critting well over half of the time late game. My problem with full dex is that without much strength, your crit damage is greatly lowered, which can be partially compensated for with gems. The base damage appears to not be a problem with skills, because skill damage scales great with crits, so it is just auto attacks lacking with a dex setup.
-
Majority spr builds increase Mana and mana recovery. This allows for the spamming of skills with low cooldowns such as oblique shot or the 2 cannoneer skills with 5 second cooldowns. From what I have seen everyone that has attempted this stat build has loved it, but am not sure whether that comes from early or late game. If I were to go with a build like this, I would be solely be basing my damage off of my skills damage and my auto attacks would be near useless.
In the end, I feel like str isnt as much of a priority as dex or spr, but each of the latter seem useful in their own way. I am considering a build with a ratio of 2dex:2spr:1str or 2dex:1spr:1str. I do know that in games trying to be well rounded backfires a lot of the time and specializing in a specific stat is the most useful is some cases, so I am looking for others opinions on this subject.
