Archer PVP Guide (In progress)

Hello, I’m Talseng from Orsha Server!

This is my first guide, please help me to improve this guide with more info!!

Here I’ll discuss a few builds in PvP for archers, with information about potential builds.

Some information can be innacurate or outdated due to changes in metagame and mistakes (No one is perfect!!).

Feel free to share your opinion, it’s always important to gather information of the community.

The guide is divided in 3 sections: Roles, Classes and Stat Allocation.

*************************************** ROLES **************************************

This is a crucial point. You have to know what you like because you can be angry when you discover that you can only play well in a few circustances.

Be wise in your build, because a PvP oriented character can make you feel very upset when you lvl it. The objective here is to make you important against other players, and not grinding or doing PvE content.

I’ll show just a few roles, but you can have a different role in determined challenge.

Single-Target - Specialized in killing single players really fast, but can have problems against large groups. This role is intended to play in offensive parties.

Multi-Target - Specialized in killing players in a group, but can have difficulties against single-target builds. This role is intended to play in offensive parties.

Contention - Specialized in delaying and killing attacking parties.

Infiltration - Capable of disable defenses.

To fit in a role, you should follow the path descibed in class section.

************************************ CLASS ************************************

ARCHER

C1
Swift Step - No-brainer for this circle, despite of the low duration (5/5).
Full draw - Does knockback and skew. If you go C2/C3, you can save points for other skills. (1-5/5).
Oblique Shot - Used as a filler for some builds, but the only thing that scale well in this skill is sp consumption (1/5).
Multi Shot - Does the best damage of C1, but is innacurate, easily countered in PvP and cannot be compared to other rank skills damage (1-5/5).

Roles: ALL

C2
Swift Step - It’s now better, giving 25% crit rate as an attribute (10/10).
Full draw - You got C2, there are better options like Heavy Shot, but you can increase duration of skew.(1-5/10).
Multi Shot - Now you can hit harder and the draw duration is cut by half, but still have the C1 problems (1-10/10).
Kneeling Shot - This is a stance, so you cannot use abilities and run using it, making it easy to be aimed. Only used with Quarrel Shooter C3 (0-5/5).
Heavy Shot - Better version of full draw, without charging time. (5/5).

Roles: ALL

C3
Swift Step - 20% evasion and 19% movement speed when hitting helps a lot in PvP (15/15).
Multi Shot - Still has the same problems, but if you hit the enemy… poor enemy (1-15/15).
Kneeling Shot - Improves stance, but if you are QS C3 you’ll be already hitting really fast without maxing it (0-10/10).
Heavy Shot - If you have any point remaining, you can invest in it (5-10/10).
Twin Arrows - Its not spammable, but has 4 overheat and low cooldown, and does good damage. (5/5)

ROLES: Single-Target, Infiltration

MORE CLASSES WILL BE ADDED LATER

***************************** STAT ALLOCATION ****************************

CON - To do damage you need to stay alive, my recommendation is to keep at least 40% of points in CON. The only exception would be in the single-target role with musketeer. If you plan to be one of these, 25% should be enough to keep high burst damage.

DEX/STR discussion - For PvP builds, I don’t recommend builds that have full points in any stat, even CON. You need a minimum amount of DEX to be able to hit your enemies and some STR to do good damage. Just remember that STR has better scaling in the end-game.

DEX - If you plan to have high critical rate, you have 3 options:

1 - Create a lot of high lvl critical rate gems.
2 - Get Rogue and hit from behind.
3 - Forget PvP and follow full DEX build.

If you still wants to have a PvP build, I recommend 50-100 DEX, because you can hit almost everyone, without sacrificing STR.

STR - Remaining Points

In the future I’ll add more information, see ya!

Thank you very much for your effort, I really appreciate it that archer pvp is getting some love

But did you consider at full draw the skew effect which stacks with more lvl in it? It comes in really handy in fights, bcs of the pin effect. You can charge the skill while moving, once you hit an enemy just hit him with the rest of your skills since he can’t move away.
I personally prefer it at least 5/10 (10 sec skew effect).

Skew can be handy, but its complicated to use because is a charged skill. If you have points remaining in your build, invest in it.

Can you give me some advice for class decision.

My initial plan was Archer c3>Scout>Rogue>?>Musketeer but there i don’t know what to take at rank 6.

The other build would be Archer c2>Ranger c2>Scout>Rogue>Musketeer

I am not sure what is better

The charge from Full Draw is ridiculous fast. You can’t compare Full Draw vs Heavy Shot. Full Draw is 10000x better. Heavy Shot is nice just coz haven’t cd (PD counter). Your knockback is small than Full Draw. Will need spam 10 HS to push enemy to the same distance of the FD.

the second one is better for pve
on the first one you can go rogue c2(for pvp), there no much choice left(picking sr here can work, but has no synergy with musketeer/rogue(you can use sneak hit only while mounted)

Full Draw is better when you have enough time to hit. It works well against melee characters. You should know how hard is to use Full Draw against other archers.

and how much point is minimal for an archer (Single Target Roler with Musketeer) to survive in PVP???
at least to face “wizard’s cant be dodge magic” in PVP
