Hi guys,

I have a 330 Archer: A2 -> QS3 -> SR3.

The character is pretty good because i have a good AOE damage (but need the Aspana Revolver for HUGE damage), a very good monocible target with Running Shot + Kneeling shot and mobility.

With this i can farm fast, PL my friends easily (Prison, Truffles, Storage) and make a correct dps on BOSS with Kneeling Shot. I can’t fight BURST classes But still have my cube at the end and this is the priority.

My Archer can make a lot of think and that’s i want.

In pvp (with my PVE build) 2v2 is a lil bit complicate… But in gang bang GvG it’s “ok”.

Just one more think: Buff CARACOLE PLZ #smile (my favorite skill but damage is trash)…

In most of time if you wait to much your whole team die and you lose.
Cleric / Sword / Mage can one shot you. But once Missile hole is in da place, you cant be effective. Wait 22s after (miko) ausrine ? and " x " time to find an opportinuty ?

I want to see some videos !

Is that normal to be one shot by a cleric full con ?

Did you manage to be TOP rank in TBL every week ?
Are you TOP rank in kills on GvG ?

To me, SR are easy shot in TBL and not optimal in GvG.

Yeah, never said it’s optimal. There’s no counter to any CC or anything, you rely on your team. Yet you’re a nice to have ranged dps class that works. In some cases it’s really impossible to do something, especially if you get rushed by cata/CC.

But remember that you can also easily kill those and as well the full con cleric once you get openings to do so.

And no, I don’t manage to get top ranks in TBL anymore because needing to rely on team a lot. If I don’t fit that team comp and enemy comp have counters I’m pretty much done. Also depends from which rank are you starting, it’s harder to climb ranks now since you rarely get fair matches that aren’t decided already on match-making but this goes to a bigger TBL and balancing issue other than archer alone, plus some playing only for 50/50 daily points and not really caring for having good matches.

But yeah, usually 1-2 rank with most kills in GvG and usually most kills in TBL (5v5 matches with no Sages, I rarely do 2v2 because catas :v).

Usually our server 5v5 top50 has ~30 clerics and ~4 archers in it, i don’t see how you can say we have sucess in 5v5.

still waiting for IMC to makes attribute so Bodkin point can finally do what it said in description
it should be like nullifies any protective magic and +8 CD and need atleast class 2 or 3 flet requirement
still have hope since they aren’t buff fletcher yet (R.I.P. to cannoneer who just get range buff and still lack of damage/AOE atk ratio)

Hunter2 is actually really busted for single target cc in PvP. Coursing/retrieve locks down a person for a very long time with short cd

PVP is a joke. Archer or Swords is really weak in this environment, we have to pay more to against others.
It sounds like “A sub-genius and ninety percent effort”, but they could have 99% genius + 99% effort as well.

@LunarRabbit I have asked you once when glassmole only be effected by main weapon, we have to pay double money on two weapons to get the same effect like other class.

I am 50% agree with you, cus i am a sapper SR. I love to use Boom trap with my retreat shot in ET,
but i still 50% disagree that other SR like ranger focusing on Retreat shot and still have to build up a seldom use xbow.

Well as a top player i am aiming on stage 10 weapon but it is hard to let me choose xbow or pistol, or even both. If i go for xbow, one day they might change the effect of glassmole. then i got IMC’ed

Btw, it’s not that Archer is trash; rather people who play Archer are the problem. Like, every time I see an Archer in instanced dungeons, they behave, but as soon as they can behave like trash they mostly will.

Luring the boss away outside of your magic circles, killstealing, stalking&grieving as well as helping themselves to most of your Heals so other team members don’t get any heal are just a few stories to tell.

Archer sure seems to be the “thief”-Class that collects all human garbage in TOS (aside the cancer-macrolocks) under its flag <_<

If you’re in a team with archers, pls help them: set magic circles in the good places for the whole team easy to deal with the boss include archer.

There’re some mechanic settings on archer’s skills that if you don’t really want to co-ordinate with them you and them archers couldn’t fight well. If you care about them then you will see they could be with you a good team!

It might not be about archer’s problems, it’s yours :confused:
I like archers.

Doesn’t really matter anyway. If you re not supporting as falconer C3, you will be outdpsed by a rank 2 classe, as everyone, pyro.

And if you are playing gvg and see a sage there don’t try too hard. Missile hole will make you hit 1 :slight_smile:

i hate you guys i was pressing likes on a outdated thread :sob:

i feel that archer is the fodder of tree of savior, there is absolutely no reason to play them when you could perform far better on a wizard or cleric in both pve and pvp.

i usually never play wizard or cleric infact i detest casters but in this game i gave up my favorate class and just went straight up wizard/cleric or even a swordsman because i’m not dumb.

playing a physical class is cancer with all the all con wizard/clerics blocking nonstop and also those dodges.

you need enough str for block pierce so archer classes will not have enough points for con or dex which results wizards to one shot them.

koreans are complaining nonstop about how garbage archers are, i understand they were good at one point atleast in pve but this whole one shot or tank stall / heal / cc meta is ridiculous to a point everyone isn’t surprised that players leave every month.

when block pierce moves over to dex, it will be alot better not to mention the attack speed. i just hope the casters need to invest in int to do actual damage instead of going full con.

anything that deals over 20k damage in pvp needs to be reduced so classes aren’t forced to invest into more con just because of certain overpowered skills.

i’m dying to see those updates be implented in ktest to see the difference…

How come they are passing your dps with lame weapons, you have little attributes maybe? Wugu alone was able to outdps a pd last time I checked.
