Archer C3 > Scout C2/3 >?

Alrighty, so I kinda lurked here now and then to see what was going on with class progression and whatnot.

First things first, I’m not playing this to be the best in the world or anything, I’m playing to enjoy all the different combinations of things that are possible.

So I’ve been thinking about going Archer C3 into Scout C3, but the last advancement is still up in the air. I really, really like the Falconer class and it’s probably the one I’m leaning towards the most.

However, I’m not sure if I want to give up a Rank 7 class in favor of Falconer. Or if I should go Archer C3 > Scout C2 > Falconer C1 > Canoneer. I know I want to go at least Scout C1. I’m not interested in the Rogue class, either. I just enjoy the abilities of the Scout class.

Any advice? Like I said, I’m not going for whatever is most OP, just whatever I think I would have the most fun playing.

I’m assuming since you chose archer c3 you want to take full advantage of falconer’s circling for grinding with multishot? It’s very nice and I would say that yes if you organize it well it can compare to the damage output of cannoneer if you set it up accordingly as well as circling will be beneficial to your party not just yourself. Scout C2 adds a clunky (yet fun) skill I wouldn’t particularly say is worth it, as scout c1 gives you all the utility you’d want. Scout C3’s Split arrow does higher damage than all of cannoneer’s skills aside from cannon blast. Split arrow hits three targets at long ranges though while cannoneers aoe ratio is very high but the targets must be very close. When targets are very close though you can easily set up circling + multishot (which does way more damage overall vs cannoneer since multihits scale amazingly)
TL;DR
-Multishot + Circling Combo does better aoe damage than cannoneer and you get to trade that for a decent aoe high damage spammable skill.
-Against bosses and single target cannoneer will do more damage vs scout c3 if there’s nothing to bounce off of for split arrows double damage.
-A r6 utility class is definitely okay to choose over a rank 7 damage class if the situation calls for it
-Archer c3>scout c3>falconer c1 is better than Archer c3>Scout c2>falconer c1> cannoneer c1 IMO but both are nice choices, while the 2nd choice might be more fun since you spam a variety of different skills instead of just multishot and split arrow.

Thanks so much for the detailed response, and the info. I was trying to understand it more deeply but I got a bit lost, so this was SUPER helpful by having things all laid out.

My initial plan was Archer C3 > Scout C3 > Falconer C1, and I’m glad it holds up beyond me speculating and pondering. The second option does seem fun as well, but I really like the idea of Split Arrow being more versatile for more spread-out targets.

I think I might roll with Archer C3 > Scout C3 > Falconer C1. I may have overall less of a skill variety, but it seems more practical.

Imo split arrow is better for pvp than multishot + circling.

While I find that currently archers in pvp are a joke because of stone skin, yeah you wont get the set up time for multishot + circling most likely, nor will enemies bunch up anyways. I still would say Split arrow may be a better choice over cannoneer as you can’t take advantage of the aoe often.

Ya, ok. stone skin is op, but not just for archers.

Every path that follow “physical attacks” is not enough to win a battle, in this conditions.

But pvp is more than a skill. Knowing the cooldown, or the number of blocks, or the right time to do something is the key.

And of course, positioning.

And, imo, IMC early or not gonna remove stone skin or nerf this skill. Which makes archer and swords viable again, dont u think?

eventually I’m sure balances will roll out, when I can’t say, the ranking list for classes will never truly be 100% even for each class tree, but I’m sure they’ll try.

meanwhile, why not create something that can counter priest’s blocks? like know the right time to BURST THEM DOWN with my cannon blast? <3

It’s 40 seconds after the match starts is when it’ll be off of them, if they put down a capella to reproc it you’re screwed though.

Just be aware that you’re going to have a painful time leveling that character.
