Archer 3 Scout 3 Schwarzer Reiter 1. Even Fanthomable?

Novice to archery builds. Hoping the gurus of these parts can assist me on some questions to the above build. The general idea is to have a solid archer build that can farm any tier of mobs at a decent pace and that has the mounted ability to cover more ground when searching maps for bosses. I’ve already checked lists for what abilities are okay mounted and unmounted. All the intended abilities for grinding from Archer and Scout are okay, and the Reiter circle, for all I care is just for movement speed increase, any other bonuses from mounting is a plus to me.

Questions are, is the mounted speed for archers and only one circle of Reiter sufficient/noticeable? I know The Cataphracts have giddy up skills, even without them mounting seems like a solid boost. I don’t know the details about what makes it better otherwise (companion stats?)

My peak into the forums doesn’t seem like Reiter is a popular choice in general. Why?

I don’t have first hand experience here so take it with a grain of salt.

First the obligatory obvious point of c7 classes being very strong, you need a dang good reason to skip them in favor of something else.

If what you want to do is have faster run speed while you spam split arrow then that is exactly what you will achieve. I considered this myself, but decided that A2>R3>SR>? accomplished the task much better than scout 3. If what you wanted out fo the mix was the stealth then you could easily leave out A2 or do any other sort of Reiter build as well but scout 3 just takes up too much space for what split arrow does.

That said, if you want to play scout3 then do it, make your C7 choice later it shouldn’t change your build much up til then. Play what is fun for you, just keep in mind it has to work to be fun.
