Hello~ Im New in ToS i actually have a QuarrelShooterC3 Lv 90 with Full STR and some points in CON
There are many Builds I Was thinking on
Archer 1 > Quarrel Shooter 3 > Wugushi 3 > Mergen
I Need builds and suggestion for PvP and PvE
Any ?
Thanks.
Full STR Quarrel 3 - Wugushi 3 is fine. Poison cannot crit.
Max Needle Blow, Wugong Gu, Throw gu pot.
Probably you already have your Quarrel skills (especially running shot 5), so you are ready.
Grand cross -> didel grand cross.
Manamana off-hand.
Cafrisun set -> Manahas set.
Mergen must use 2-Handed bow for all skills though.
Non-wugu classes enjoy crit (dex, Archer2 though).
Wugu is bad at PvP since antidote removes poison freely, and easily.
I’d say get Hakku for r8 instead of Mergen if you want to keep your route for faster mobility running shot and access to 1-h sword. (315 1-h sword has 3 slots!)
Let alone Mergen skills are 2-h bow exclusive, which you need to prepare 2 315 weapons, it doesn’t work well on a high str build too since all of them rely on skill’s own damage bonus, which is a huge lost in damage if you don’t crit.
What about
Archer C1 QuarrelShooter C3 Rogue C1 Schwarzer Reiter C3 Full Str
?
That certainly is an existing and functional build, provided you have enough 10 stars Werewolf cards
Not something new though
(It’s just the exact variant of A2 Q3 SR3 who go full dex, but instead, go str)
QS3 wugu3 excels at single target damage, and is strong vs mobile targets. You are able to apply poison + continue running shot.
Reiters are stronger at AoE, but you cannot use running shot + retreat shot simultaneously.
They don’t conflict with each other either. Retreat shot has long CD, so Running Shot could fill up the gap here.
I have a A1-Qs3-Ro3-Sc1. The STR build works only because of [sneak hit] and werewolf cards. It is very lacking in survivability though.
I will be comparing with my other builds to give you an idea of what you are getting into.
- My auto atk with [running shot] is 12k. It seems amazing, but my full DEX druid3 crits for 16k (80% vs 0 crit resist) and is AoE.
- I made another archer, this time DEX A1-Qs3-Ro1-Fa2 (not yet r8) and yet when I transferred the gear I would crit for around 9k. The difference of 500 STR was around 3k. Broken down that is (500 + 250 for crit + 500 crit damage) x 2.8 = 3500. Just about right.
If you don’t have access to a stat reset, then going at least Ro1 would be good for you. Wu2/3 would also be good since poison dots can’t crit. But honestly, going DEX would be give you more options. The new gems and head costumes make going DEX just all around “better”.
Some hackapells have been theory crafting a build: A1-Qs3-Ro2-Fa1-Ha1. This gives you the following options for combat:
- standard [running shot]
- 100% uptime on [sneak hit] - combo with werewolf cards
- [back stab] available when [running shot is down]
- [circling] for improved aoe (mostly for hacka)
- 5 primary weapon gem slots
- mounted movement
IMPORTANT - if you ever do take rogue, do NOT take the attribute dagger mastery: sudden attack. It is a very small increase in damage for DAGGER ATTACKS ONLY that comes with a very dangerous risk of for ever disabling werewolf cards on your character. Don’t risk it.
If you want to “main” the Qs3 part of the build you can “enhance” your auto atk with falconer3 for its auto cast: A1-Qs3-x-Fa3. The “x” can be any class, but here are my recommended picks:
- A2 for [multishot] (works well with [circling]) and [swift step] (it lets you need less dex for crit cap)
- Ro1 for points mentioned above
- Sc1 for stealth via [cloaking] and [flare shot] (works well with [circling] and [aiming])
Here are your combat options in addition to those mentioned above: - standard [running shot]
- [circling] for improved aoe (more so with circle 3)
- [aiming] for extended range and improved aoe
- [pre-emptive strike] and [sonic strike] for auto atk enhancement (this basically lets you triple dip into your atk some of the time)
Now if Qs3 is more a “take it for now, replace it later” thing for you Sr3 is good. I say this because IMHO [limacon] will replace [running shot]. Why
- [limacon] got turned into a buff to auto atks and it doesn’t work with [running shot] “completely”. [running shot] doesn’t work for off hand atks (you only get the atk speed). Could change, who knows.
- [limacon] has an enhance attribute (+1% damage per attribute lv) and a bounce attribute
The wet dream before (when the [limacon] change was announced) was to have [running shot] and [limacon] work together. It could still happen (if it hasn’t already).
A nice combo that could have worked better was [depoly pavise] + [retreat shot]. This allowed not needing a wall because you could run into a pavise and not move. Why would this be a thing? [retreat shot] won’t fire unless you’re moving. Sadly [depoy pavise] dismounts.
