I see nothing wrong with log horizon …its good story and all. Overlord could be good as well (at least the novel are fun to read)
It had some potential in the first episodes with all that MMO feeling on the fights but after that it feels like a giant filler crawling to its second season. You can basically watch the 4 first episodes put a “and then they developed a government” comment and just go straight up to episode 17/18 that nothing would be lost.
It’s rather boring to watch side characters stories that are just there to give a push to the plot from time to time and Log Horizon is basically that.
At least it’s better than SAO so…be happy I guess.

Renge seiyuu (Kotori Koiwai) also played on another series this new season as Utsutsu in Gatchaman Crowds second season, I hope she would get more main roles in the future as she’s quite flexible in characterization, just like her roles as Kigurumi in Joshiraku. ^^

the 1st arc starts with body swapping but eventually it doesnt just stops at body swapping. from Kyoani(K-on, Hyouka, Hibeke Yuriphorium,Tamako market). Dont expect season 2 because 3 voice actors/tress of the 5 were involve in a bullying of a rookie voice actor which japan boycott the show and plummeted the sales of the series.
its a drama comedy…expect feels and hnnngggg

It was ok as far as introductions go. Black Lagoon was a bit more happy presenting this same kind of world in a more engaging way during it’s first episode.
