You don’t even bother to spend 30 second to find info on the future patch, why bother staying. In case you are still wondering, it’ll be the same as RO WoE.
Because most are, like 95% of the MMORPGs are (GW2 is an exception), not gonna lie there.
hmm, it’s a bit more like keep your hopes up for the game and stick around and support it if you think it has potential to watch it grow.
Like the other angry person above me, I’ll say that they do have a devlog that might be interesting to watch as you play a bit more infrequently while you’re hibernating for the good stuff.
Thanks for being kind and pointing this link, that indeed seems like a cool feature I would want to participate…
As a repayment for you kindness I will disregard the very mean and unnecessary tone of your post. = ]
Should take less than half of that even with less than 3 hours of playing a day.
Along those lines the most innovative thing I find about this game is the class system so trying out different classes and build combinations is always an option. Also, like some others said. Game is still VERY new so give it some time or come back later to check up on things if you aren’t happy right now. Don’t play if you have to force yourself to play. It’ll just ruin the current and any possible future experiences you may have. This game has the “potential” to be much better so let’s just see.
Edit: @Darumy basically said exactly what I said while I was typing my reply >_>
Yeah the class system its indeed amazing -…
If they have the same results while doing other new aspects of the game it has great things to come…
Thats most of it.
I really enjoy thinking up new builds and trying them out.
If whats available right now doesnt interest you, maybe consider coming back at a later date. Newly released games usually have a lack of content, but add more as time goes on. This game will have much more content a year from now imo.
I dont see how this is different from any other game though.
I don’t know what you mean by “arcade mmo”. But you still play it SINCE THE RELEASE, woah seems that I have a point xD
It is a great mmorpg, there’s not grouping but there are zergs (huge train on players wrecking objetives and sharing buffs).
There is a lot of theorycrafting tbh, just go look at gw2 forums how much discussion there is around runes/builds/classes and metagame orientation, a very very very competitive PvP enviroment with leagues, tier, rewards, e-sport investiment and media coverage, organized teams, world championship etc… i have no idea why you said its not competitive o-o.
I have never played CoD, but if a fraction (one kind of map) of gw2 gives the whole experience of a best seller game (cod) then I think thats freaking awesome isn’t it?
Anyways this is not about Gw2, I brough it up because you said “all games are like this”, and I was forced to a game very unlike this…
I think you are missing the point. You are disappointed because you got bored, there was an expectation from you about the content and you realized that it wasn’t enough for you. Then you expected people here would prove you right so you don’t feel that bad. You just manipulated information trying to feel validated.
It’s an early access game. Call it an alpha, beta, or whatever. The thing is not finished and you can still sink in 500+ hours.
There’s a lot of information out there about what to do ingame. If you wanted to ask for more things to do, then you could’ve asked more nicely (“So… this is it?”). Look at your post, you just came with negativity and for some reason you wanted us to cheer you up. Dude, did you have any toys as a kid? Did someone tell you what to do with it? Use your imagination, enjoy it as it is. Share it with friends. But if you don’t like it, why would you come to others and tell them “so this is it?” you like to play with this ball that bounces and that’s it? Do you really think that takes you somewhere?
The fanboy thing isn’t as you say. It’s more like we want to have a nice community, a good conversation about the direction the game needs, theorycrafting, or whatever. But what we get instead, 10+ daily threads about the same thing you said. It gets frustrating. Community means people, not GMs or admins. If you have ever built something you must know it takes time and pacience.
Wow I totally missed that. D: So cool.
I mean. Gotta sorta repeat what Efner said. What are you looking for in this game? Do you just want it to be better or are you looking for something specific? Because personally, I find ET and Battle League (when it comes out) to be sufficient end game content for a newly released game.
Ty ty ty ty so very much this is so true yo this need to be pined on the forums lol
No, actually got disappointed because while i AM liking the class system progression, but Im felling by the general feedback and my experience that the game has a very few to offer outside the class system.
I have a close friend that plays and I wanted to play with him as he is quite sad that I’m leaving… this is why I made this thread, not to fell proved right, but to see if i was indeed missing some REALY COOL THING that I have no idea.
Unfortunaly no one came here saying “just wait until you get to lvl 1XX and bosses will be awesome!!! and dungeons will require a lot coordenation and schemes to pass it its so much fun! and pvp rewards with a a very cool hat !! [Insert link of hat that doesn’t exist]”
But no… this didn’t happened.
So… err… you are very wrong about my intentions and your interpretation of my thread tone…
I think a deeper character costumization its something that I realy miss from other games o-o.
History being meaningful its also something that I miss a lot…
I recognize most mmorpg have the same kind of meaningless history, basicaly no plot at all, but gw2 has a incredible plot for a mmo, so why newer games can’t also have better plots too?
Despite gw2, its not fair to presume that newer and highly hyped and funded games will have awesome inovation and incredible and unexpected features?
Be honest to yourself if you had all money and all propaganda that this game had in your disposal, do you think you would settle for this linear meaningless plot?
The game doesn’t make you fell important or cool, not even respected as a “revelator” or… idk… it doesn’t appeal in any sense outside class system and “being rag”.
Don’t you see that? Because I miss this kind of stuff from other games…
Not saying you are wrong, but on those 2 points you just described every MMORPG out there.
I think I will just wait to see the path the game takes in the future… but for now will play something else.
Thanks for your opinions.
Moderns MMOS are just so, so easy.
People just don’t fear the death because you lose nothing dying, no gear droping on the floor, no huge exp loss, just nothing.
People don’t fear other people because theres no open-pvp/pk, all the players are buddies, yeah? Yeah, of course, we have to be.
People do not develop a social network in game, because no one need friends in order to progress.
In the end of the day the new mmo players don’t know what frustration is.
Devs just keep adding useless stuff in mmo and hoping people never get bored. There’s a essential problem doing things like that: the number of features you can implement in any program (even games) is finite and so on eventually your game will just get boring, or worse, people will quit even before reach your features, because they will not have any perspective of a long term enjoiable experience.
I feel like at some point in MMO industry someone made a very bad choice and all the others followed through the same way.
I played gw2 with every class and race, story wasnt good lol. Idk what kind of rpgs you are used too, but the plot/story of gw2 isnt even on my top 30 of well done rpg plots
This is like any other game… most of the people getting bored and quitting play this game like it’s their job -_-. Games are games, play for fun
What you want to compare it to mass effect trilogy?
Its a mmorpg zilox, compare it to mmorpgs… gw2 as a mmorpg plot masterpiece… comparing to single player plot-centered rpgs its crap ofc lol.
