Am I missing something? Maybe another quiting player

Guys, correct me if i’m wrong, as this is why I made this thread.

I will describe the idea I had of this game so far, and I repeat, if i’m wrong thats great but explain to me why is that:

The whole game its basicaly:

  1. Go a map, do all uninteresting quest like get something from the floor and deliver or kill X something, kill one or couple bosses, reveal 100% > Repeat.

  2. Some dungeons where you get in, kill everything, hope for a good loot of the boss, world bosses functions basicaly in the same way.

  3. Arena team pvp with no item/style/costume/aura/wings/weapon or whatever “visual ranking” system as reward or any means for people to know that you are awesome on pvp. You just pvp because you want to pvp and thats it.

  4. Guild vs Guild with castle siege and open pvp on normal maps for participant guild members.

So… this is it? Or there’s some very interesting lategame gameplay aspect that I don’t know of?

Because I don’t like pvp, and I don’t fell like doing 3 months of BoringQuest+100%Map>Repeat, to get to C7 and do nothing but daily world bosses everyday hoping for some rare drop.

Nothing terrible about that for ones who like it, but I think its a bit shallow.

What am I missing?

Top teams get giant stone statues in town.

Yeah, WoE was fun. But it’s like trying to the same thing over and over again.

Break their formation > Destroy Emp > Defend

Grinding in RO was rewarding at least. If you were in GH you knew you’d get away with Elunium and sometimes even a Raydric/Khalitzburg Card. If you were grinding in Bib you sometimes got Swordfish/Marc/Hydra/Phen Card. If you were grinding SM at the end you got Dia Rings…

Meanwhile in ToS? After 200 you often don’t even get material anymore. Sometimes a white recipe that’s worth as much as killing 5 monsters…but that’s about it.

ToS doesn’t reward you, ToS doesn’t motivate you to go on. It punches you in the face and asks you if you’re ■■■■■■■ sorry.

I don’t know about you, but I have a gladiator band, brandish, arde dagger, roxona plate(armor, pants and boots) and a Vubbe fighter gloves. and I farmed them all. Right now I’m farming for for brandish recipes using double pay. double recipe drop is <3

The game is still meh, but I’m still playing it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Pretty sure all games all u do is do the same dungeos every day do similar quest as u lvl up farm this dungeon to get this item to upgrade ur gears go to another dungeon to get this item to get ur do these dailies to get special items to get ur gear all games are repetitive all games have simular quest with either telling u to get a item. Kill a mob. Escorts a npc. Explore/investigate this area Jesus this ain’t real life where anything can happen due to the choice u make its a game it’s a program so it’s made to be the way it is lol

That’s literally everything that ever existed ever? I don’t see your point.

And how hard is it to get those items? Farm 1 day, go to AH, buy it.

Wow so gud.

Literally every item you counted can be considered casual gear at this point. In WoW we called this stuff welfare epics because it wasn’t special to have em.

You can literally equip yourself in a week once you reach 170+…depending on how much you play. And up until ET there’s pretty much nothing that’s worth farming again…

Not really. I realy didn’t want to go there.

But since so many people said all other games are like that I will, just so we don’t get into a fight I will say my best example, Gw2…

History that keeps you interested like a single player story game, hugest overwelming ammount of character costumization, 4 world vs world maps to compete against other worlds 24/7 with lots of roles for different classes, raids, very nice exploration rewards, jumping puzzles, enigmas, pvp leagues with lots of different maps, ranks and rewards for pvp only players… bla bla bla

Gw2 ofc has a lot of its own problems, i’m not saying its better or perfect, i’m just showing that some games have lots and lots of stuff to do on them.

And I percieved ToS and shallow on that regard.

You understand?

You need to do lv240 dungeon to get your armor sets to be able to do Earth Tower, if you don’t it is a lot harder. All armor and weapon sets from lv240 dungeon and ET are character bound.

Market only helps to get the “Basic” equipment, with some exception (Dagger, some Catacombs stuff are better for some classes, ect)

If you want true end game gear, you need to farm it yourself.

I killed alot of galoks from day 1 to get a battle Bracelet and it dropped after 300+ kills, Vubbe Archers for the Leather Bracelet, 100+ kills for the Vubbe Fighter Blood, 1357 Shtayims for the Brandish Recipe, countless runs in 90 dungeon for the Arde Dagger, camping Roxona for the anchors and glysquare cores and alot of grinding for the Gladiator Band. I wanted a second Glad band but I don’t know when will Cerberus spawns. But eh, I’ll get another one someday.

And guess what? I feel rewarded from my hard work.

And how long has gw2 been out? How long has tos been out? Even so if it’s not ur cup of tea then just leave lol give the game some time and see what happen I’m 180 and still using lvl 40 wep and 75 shield and I play 4-5 hours on some days I wanna get a audra and I don’t even know how cause Idk when the boss spawns nor do I have the silver to buy one

yep, that’s pretty much it.

I have to say one of my main criticisms of the game is that it feels the same at like level 50 as level 200. Some of the mobs are tankier and hit bull-hard (haha what the hell anything with blue+archer) but that’s about it.

With that being said, give the world some more time to flesh out and become engaging. It’s only a month into release, hopefully they will keep updating the game to have more features. I hate to use maple of all things as an example, but they do this very well. Even if it is still generally questing, they manage to keep things engaging with mini storylines, good thematics, different formatting, and neat rewards. All these things were more or less tacked on as time went by, which I hope is the direction that tos goes after all the major technical issues get sorted out.

I am pretty sure that this game is not complete yet.

We should ask for a roadmap before jumping to conclusions.
