Alliance of Inglourious Merchants (AIM) Recruitment [Global Merchant Guild]

Although I think this is a fun idea. It’s not really feasible. At least not for a long period of time… I’m not going to go into the wall of text it would take to explain, however I’ll just say that controlling the market is pretty much impossible to do on your own for a long period of time and would require the strongest players in the game, to gain the amount of money it would require. In-game economy is vastly different from real life.

In-game currency is unending, and just magically appears from selling stuff to NPC’s. Items aren’t created by a “supply and demand” focused company, but rather just random drops from monsters. Currency sinks are a thing, and honestly prices are almost always dictated by how difficult something is to get, and/or how important it is.

It’s a nice dream, and maybe if you alter your focus, sticking with being a merchant guild, but aiming for more of a currency collection goal. You could then focus your guild on supplying your members with gear and items through currency. Even so, your idea is screwed if end game items become character/account bound. I’d just take a long think about HOW your are actually going to achieve this magnificent feat. You need some real outside the box thinking if your going to go ahead with this.

Well… Maybe this can work out as a PvM guild focused on mob drops in the case most of the itens are bound to a character. Either way, make it as a community that can exchange information and provide help may be a good idea.

Yeah, it would have to be more of an open kind of guild, or possibly an intermediary. If someone wants to sell some rare item but no one can afford it, if this guild has a list of all the top player contacts, maybe they could sell the item for said person, taking a small cut for themselves. Never seen it happen before, on this scale atleast. However it’s as out of the box as I can think whilst still trying to remain somewhat realistic.

Otherwise yeah, it would be a PvM guild. Most money oriented/merchant guilds are heavily PvE and MvP based guilds, hunting for ingredients for items (potions), upgrading items (+4 weps or enchantments) and hunting hard bosses to sell off the rare equipment they don’t need but others struggle to get. To control the economy means to literally never stop killing super hard MvPs and farming an endless supply of everything in order to constantly have a 1 up on the competition… and even then if someone just wants quick cash and they have an extra rare item which they don’t need… maybe a duplicate. They can just sell it at 10% lower than whatever your guilds rates are, and their item will sell first. The economy is totally based on the players want for an item. Not the other way around. Simply because if they don’t deem the price acceptable, they can just get it themselves.

maybe all of you wondering, about the drop system, well, after me and my friend play this afternoon at gemscool arena, the boss/raid system is like quest, so you talk to NPC first, then you and your party will be moved into separated area, and other player can’t enter that area. so the loot will be rolled just between you and your teammates(standard raid system).

and about the enchantment , there is 3 type , first the skill enchantment, you can put like slash, trust, double attack attribute , there is also standard enchantment using the crafting material, for gain equiptment + and the last is socketing system, 4 kind of gems are available for this enchantment.
