All class / All weapons

This feedback is to implement, is there is not something similar already that we don’t know about, a class at a certain rank for each class to allow them to use the other weapons in the game that are currently unavailable to them.

I think that diversity like this will give the weapon swap ability a bit more functionality and it will be cool to see each of the classes using something you normally wouldn’t see.

For example, let a swordsman eventually, at a certain rank with a specific class, use bows or an archer, at a certain rank and class, use like 2 handed swords. These classes would not have anywhere near as much specialization as classes that solely rely on these weapons mostly but it opens up customization and choice for everyone. Let these classes have some limited damaging but maybe mostly utility like abilities with these weapons.

I am someone who is really against games that limit characters to certain weapons based on class. I think that if we can wear cloth, leather and plate “armor” in the game then you should also have an option at some point to use any weapon available in the game on every class.

Hackapell which uses a dagger and crossbow? Isn’t that what archers can already normally use? A dagger crossbow and bow?

“you know what i’d really love to try playing, and spend days leveling up? a class that will be immediately inferior to all other choices at equal rank/level, due to having weapon choices that pretty much invalidate all of the class’s previous skills and abilities. yea, i can’t wait to make a character that sucks at whatever it tries to do!”

sure it adds the illusion of choice… but there’s already so much to choose from, we don’t really need it. and since it would invariably end up less effective than other choices, no one would actually choose it anyway.

you level up a mage and put tons of points into Str, neglecting Int and Spr… what’s the point of being a mage?
your weapon won’t provide you with the magic attack bonuses a rod/staff would… your skills don’t go along well with your odd choice of weapon, and even your auto-attacks will do less damage since you’re lacking the class-based stat growth. in the end this makes you a poor swordsman, and a terrible mage.

and again i ask, who wants to play a character that’s basically designed to be terrible at everything they try to do?
