[After PATCH] Crit rate equipment guide

@pc.wf @LunarRabbit
sorry to summon you two here, but i think it is better to make special thread about how to maintain high crit rate via gem&equipment after DEX no longer give crit rate patch.
Will green gem become necessity? is it possible to reach 100% crit without green gem?
aaaa
Basic info:
+1 crit rate every 2 level, so at lv 330 there is +165 crit rate (thanks @LunarRabbit for correcting me)
3/4 leather set give +30 crit rate, 4/4 leather set give +50 crit rate
archer2 swift step:critical gives +30 x attribute level (max 150 crit rate)
rogue’s sneakhit give +30(+2xsneakhit level)% crit chance (max 60% crit chance)
finestra +200 crit rate
critical chance = (max(0, critical rate – critical resistance)) ^ 0.6

Can i ask .Will it provide individual crit rate for each items? Such as, is there any small amount crit rate for armor, boots, lower armor, glove?! etc

yes, there is, feel free to contribute anything to any physical class. My latest theorycraft (sorry, i only know archer)

So if we assume Lv.330 + 165 CDEF we would need to have 785+165=950 Crit Rate. Considering a Chrono we would need to have around 800 Crit Rate to be on the safe 100% side.

Picking Terra Hydra as example: https://tos-ktest.neet.tv/npcs/100179
Quicken attribute (+150 CR): https://tos-ktest.neet.tv/attributes/209001

If someone needs, here’s a table for Gems:

Wall of Math

Now to reach 800 Critical Rate, considering Archer 2 -> anything:

Total: 165+50+150=365
CR needed: 800-Total=435

Adding specific “generic” gear:

Total: 165+50+150+28+443+22+372=621
CR needed: 800-Total=179

Adding specific SR gear:

Total: 165+50+150+28+443+22+372+28+57*3=820
CR needed: 800-Total=-20

Considering my personal case where I won’t remove one Red Gem (Lv.8) and one Red Gem (Lv.7) from Aspana:

Total: 165+50+150+28+443+22+372+28+57*1=706
CR needed: 800-Total=94

Considering Solmiki Set Bonus: 72 Crit Rate

Total: 165+50+150+28+443+22+372+28+57*1+72=778
CR needed: 800-Total=22

Considering my hats: 21 Crit Rate

Total: 165+50+150+28+443+22+372+28+57*1+72+21=799
CR needed: 800-Total=1

–> But I could even follow another path, let’s consider something cheaper:

Adding specific “generic” gear:

Total: 165+50+150+29+442+22+11+13+14+372=616
CR needed: 800-Total=184

Adding specific SR gear:

Total: 165+50+150+29+442+22+11+13+14+372+29+57*2=759
CR needed: 800-Total=41

How to calculate total and needed values together:

It honestly seems achievable to get a decent Critical Rate for most Archer 2 builds, probably in the same way if you’re using a Rogue build.

It does require some heavy investment but you can achieve pretty high values with Hunting Grounds leather set.

But for all cases it seems you do need to have at least 3-4 Lv.7 Green Gems >.< I’m not sure you’re able to reach 100% without any Green.

Also, @myself I’d ask if you can confirm some values, Lv.330 seems to give 165 critical rate instead of 115 (115*2=230) and Swift Step seems to still give 150 Critical Rate instead of 100, was it changed?

mfw
not an archer2
not a rogue
no sissels
no lv7 green gems
no werewolf card

Here’s the results of some testing I did with a low CRATE:

what is your level, queue? it seems crit chance formula is changed

It was 293. It looks like it will be much harder to CRIT, and require substantial investment to break through whatever threshold there is.

CRATE came from: 147 from level, 200 Finistra, 50 Leather. Added and removed as necessary for testing.

just a different question tho, accuracy is removed from gloves according to the new stats, so where to get accuracy aside from STR? isn’t accuracy needed for crits to hit?

and bonus stat from equipment like lolo leather glove +33acc in ktest, but i think their total stat is wrong. Keyarc leather glove still give 112 acc total in ktest site
명중=accuracy

try 147 +200 finestra against rhodeliot (144cdef), it will have 203 crit rate after cdef, and hopefully it become comparable with 197 crit rate against hanaming

tfw my poor fletcher / mergen will only do white hits after patch =/

If you don’t mind having less defense (since after patch gloves give defense), the highest critical rate for gloves is still from red veris gloves (23):

https://tos-ktest.neet.tv/items/502109

I’m using them at the moment because I don’t need accuracy and every bit helps, but after patch I’m not sure I’d give away that much defense for 1 CR point.

Works out to be about 0.08% per crit rate + 5% base crit rate.
Formula is something like 0.08(critrate-cdef)+5

At the moment, it isn’t that bad :joy_cat::

crossfire fletcher
any way to know his itens?

@myself it seems the table I posted could be outdated. Do you (or anyone else) have an updated gem values?

Would it change the assumption if we got tests for like 600-700 critical rate values? Any possibility (from the differences) that it could scale a bit different with higher values?

Seems consistent. So far it appears Crits will be harder to achieve.

If it’s just flat then that would make sense.
