We would also like to thank those of you who have helped by submitting detailed information about your computer system via Support Tickets and the Forum. However, we still need to gather more information in order to proceed.

We hope that you would help us by answering a few questions about your gaming system and your internet connection speed. Please make sure to fill in all sections as the more information you provide the faster we can address this issue.

We also ask that in this thread, you leave only the information requested so that we can quickly compile it and pass it on to our developers.

Thank you!

  3. Are you using a laptop or a computer?

  4. Is your computer properly configured to your graphics card?

  5. Do you face the same problem when you are using a different computer with different specificiations?

  1. Yes, 100% of the time. The framerate is always low (around 1 to 4 fps) and never gets high, not even for a brief moment.
  2. It still happens even if I’m the only one in the channel.
  3. Desktop computer. No powersaving features.
  4. Yes.
  5. My other computer hasn’t been able to run ToS since the switch to the visual studio 2015 library.
  6. I’ve never seen this type of fps drop anywhere else.

In game //ping is:
Natarh watchtower ch1 59.96 fps:
0.033340
0.083344
0.050079
0.116547
0.033447
0.033325
0.066833
0.066788
Nazarene tower ch1, 3 people in the channel, 2.46 to 3.5 fps, 285 to 327ms to draw a frame:
0.323181
0.323792
0.327332
0.328735
0.306763
0.304260
0.307007
0.306885
0.303711
0.301575
While doing the above test with //ping at 300ms and low framerates, pinging www.google.com from the command line gave the following: 31ms average, 19ms minimum, 63ms maximum, 0 packet loss in 100 pings. My other computer had similar results to google while I was in Nazarene: 29.969ms average.

Nazarene tower ch4, no other players in the channel, 3.27 fps:
0.283752
0.286255
0.284119
0.280701
0.283386
0.307434
0.284607

The task manager’s ethernet tab said I was only sending or receiving 0 to 56 Kbps. The resource monitor’s network activity tab shows Client_tos.exe sending up to 30 bytes/sec and receiving 140 to 300 bytes/sec.

After returning to Natarh watchtower, 59.94fps, ping times to google remained the same (averages 27ms and 29.931ms) while in game //ping returned to 0.050049, 0.083374, 0.070923.

What stands out here is in Nazarene, the //ping time and the time to draw a frame were very similar and both varied very little over time, suggesting the game was waiting about 280ms per update for something before doing any visual or network updates.

The task manager and resource monitor also reported low disk activity while in Nazarene (up to 5% active time), with Client_tos.exe reading maybe 70 KB/second and writing nothing. 57% of RAM was in use. Client_tos had a 2,214,304 KB RAM commit. The cpu was at 44% to 58% average load, with all 4 cores showing the same load. The four core activity graphs all closely followed the average with each core at around 50% activity and little variation. After returning to Natarh and getting high framerates again, the resource monitor showed no difference in resource usage in any tab.

So… All AMD CPUs before Bulldozer (FX).
Athlon, Phenom, APUs…

It’s clear is a problem with some caracteristics of theses CPUs.

Been clear since HG 340 came out. There was already a forum post about this in the Bugs section where most have already posted this info.
