About the server location

Can dev move it to somewhere more comfortable to play for Asia player?

The last iCBT it was like 400-500 ping for me, playing with archer class was the real pain-in-the-ass :disappointed_relieved:

Aren’t there already several servers in the asia region? Not sure how strict they are with region lock or where you’re from but so far there are korean, indonesia and japan servers.

There are 48 countries in Asia and 3 you mention are all IP block -_______-

And even they are not, I am not going to play seriously with local version.
Why? because all of game publisher around here are bullsht --

ps.Unless there will be Singapore version

if only they have 7 different channels on the server

1 for… let’s say… Dallas (as channel 1 in mid US) 3 for USEast and another 3 for USWest (CA)

Need EU server or EU channel. Too much population are from this zone

Do you know how much trouble that would be? Lets say what you said is implemented, Do you think a single channel can comport 5k+ (estimated number) players?

I think the actual way will work better, im sure they will add a Singaporean server too, they know that making a international server wont work well on some parts of the world due to distance.

About EU i dont know if they would do that, unless in the end of their project they want to add servers by region (US, EU South America and so on) which i think would consume too much time and money.

If im not mistaken IMCs survey said north and south america had the highest numbers on Icbt by a healthy lead. So the server will be closer to the majority.

What the heck that would make everyone on the international server have 500 ping…international server would be virtually unplayable/unjoyable…Most likely server is going to be somewhere in north america dude

Exactly!!..Asking for more servers is just more money eventually they are going to need players to fund them…for example making pay events or pay2win stuff because you ask for servers

At least move it to US West Cost ,I will be happy if they do :no_mouth:

that would depend on how your areas population stacks up vs the euro population.

I think it’s senseless to talk about moving their first/only server altogether. They picked that as the first location for a reason. If anything, make a thread about location requests for the second server, and put a poll in it.Then all of us [and the devs] can see where most players are located and make an informed decision on a second server.

Edit: They have the survey results, but not everyone got to take the survey,so I think a thread would be a better idea.

Tbh, assuming the server was in the US, the experience was quite good for me (EU). I haven’t looked at the ping, but the only lag I’ve had was when they reduced the max number of channels to 3 (probably to test how much the server could handle). That, was shitty. But otherwise, the game is pretty snappy for an US hosted one. I’ve seen worse.

Tbh, people are complaning too much. If you have 250- ping you are ok(some EU players are complaining about having 200 which is perfect for this kind of game, heck i play lol with 180 ms and hit challenger on NA).

If you have 500+, I’m pretty sure there will be a server that’ll suit your location better(SEA region server for example). If they dont have IP restrictions, you’ll have to make a choice tho. Play with 500 ping or play with a local publisher you all seem to hate.

Check out WTFast for this kind of thing.

Just an ilusion lol, never worked for me, well not on free mode at least, in most cases it doubled my latency.

If im not wrong the server is located on Canada.

I play GW2 with 250+ latency lol.
Too bad they dont let us create char on other realms like WoW, i could try find a better server for me.

Tough sh!t. Stick to an Asian server if you have a problem with the location of this one. No one really cares.

So what? what matters is how many people will be able to monetarily support devs.

In part that is true, but there are other things to considerate in long term to setup a server in a region, not even the devs know if the public target will stay for long term, if they will expend money to cover costs, how many will come, etc.

And the reason you quoted me was…?
