I didn’t really enjoy this chat box.
The way it’s arranged supports a low number of messages.
Everytime I ALT + TAB the game, it changes the chat type. If it’s on Party chat, it turns to Normal chat, etc.
Also, it’d be great to let us choose our primary chat. Everytime you log in or change map, the chat box go to All/Shout, which turned to be quite useless, since players are using it to fight over the brazilians issue.
If I don’t want to read it, I have to change the chat type everytime.
Also, the ballon that covers the messages are quite big, if you just made it enought to cover the message, it would get cleaner.

-Come on, it just takes 3 messages on deafult size.-

Agreed on all points!!

An additional point is that I find it hard to whisper people. The interface is not great for whispering.

I also think you should be able to pull apart the chats so that if you want to be able to view both “party” and “whisper”, you can. We need more customization in general though, with each bubble taking up FAR FAR less space.

I also would enjoy an ingame party voice chat, that’d be great
Principally for xbox pad players. You can’t just be away from keyboard hahahaha

This ALT+Tab is VERY annoying… I don’t know if they intended to make it…but it’s ridiculous…
And btw, you can change the size of the chat box. Just drag that little arrow on the top right corner.

Agreed, it would be great to be able to show multiple types in one tab (in other games I like to have 2 windows for chat, world/map/say chat and then party/whisper/guild, much more efficient). And the bubbles really need to go.

this is a huge issue. it has to be clean to support many messages.
Just steal the way it looks from WoW.

also, instead of having all that dead space on top, make it so that you type your message in there, instead of a new “chat bubble” that opens in middle of your screen. keep them together.

Another point. When I press ENTER, i want the message to send and i want it to turn off chat system so i can move again.
when im fighting monsters and i have to say “YE”, i press enter, type in YE, then press enter again and i want to move,
instead i end up typing WADSAWASD…
