Sure the chat bot’s are a little annoying. However even during non-peak times I’m finding entire zones, on every channel, empty of monsters.
There might be a few that somebody didn’t kill here and there, but for the most part every channel is empty.
What I have seen happening is people popping in and our of channels in time with mob spawns, killing the mobs, then instantly switching to a new channel.
A lot of these happen so fast there is no way they could kill the mobs and channel switch that fast without some kind of bot program.
Fixes: Set a timer of a few minutes when you log in or when you change a channel so that you can’t change a channel again for a while.
This would help stop people from wiping out every monster in every channel in certain zones.
Another Fix: Decrease respawn times in a lot of zones.
This along with limitations on how often you can change channels would help a lot towards these problems.
Why is this such an issue? Me and several of my friends have been finding it almost impossible to level up properly in certain areas because they are so heavily farmed that there is nothing to kill. I went around the Crystal Mines Floor 2 and 3 for about 2 hours and saw perhaps 10 creatures the entire time.
This is even worse with some of the higher level areas where there are even less channels to choose from and they are all packed with people.
My cleric is in the level 40+ underground areas and I can’t kill anything fast enough to gain any XP. Archers or Mages run through and basically 1 shot everything in a room so fast I can only get a hit or two off on something.
There are so many of them, and they are channel swapping so fast that every floor is pretty much empty. If you sit around and wait for re-spawns somebody ports in from another channel exactly when they spawn and wipe the room before you can get any kills.
This is a very big problem. Please fix it.
