A2 > Sapper 2 > Fletcher 3 / Fletcher 2 > Musketeer for PVE

Is this pathway viable for PVE rather than the standard A2>S1>F3 ?

A2 > Sapper 2 > Fletcher 3 / Fletcher 2 & Musketeer (you have broom trap for AOE skill)
Skillbuild

I will be going for STR : DEX 1:1 with some CON in it.
My main purpose is for World Bosses, but I want to be viable in other content such as ET maybe ?
I also need help for the skill build as I don’t know much about it.
Thank you for reading this thread and I appreciate any kind of opinions stated here.

If I go with Falconer , do I lose my potential as damage dealer for world bosses ?

Yeah, I’m thinking of doing between build no. 3 and no. 4

If I go with Fletcher 2 > Cannoneer as Cannoneer have that skill which makes flying mobs going down and can be hit by Broom Trap.

What about the fletcher delay that people are talking about ? Is it annoying ?

Thanks once again for replying my thread

shameless bump :frowning:

A2>Sa2>Fletcher3 is already a solid choice.

Decent AoE with broom trap + the ST from Fletcher.

I think this is not working, I’ve read it in another thread.

Upon reaching Fletcher2, you will be in love with Magic Arrow which will leave you broom trap as additional AoE DPS with wider range.

So go for F3!

So go for A2>Sa2>Fletcher 3 ?
I’m not so sure because there’s only a bit who takes this pathway
Does Broom Trap fall off in endgame as AOE damage ?
And does my skill build is solid enough or needs to be changed ?

I haven’t really got one, but as per seeing in game and reading threads, watching vids, it still can do decent damage, and take note that this skill is a true aoe-skill (can hit all, no max count) of course within the range of the trap.

It’s really up to you and your playstyle, I plan to create one also, but I chose A2>R1>Sc>F3

you might consider lvl15 Barbed Arrow (as it will be your main skill spam vs leather and cloth) and lvl9 BroadHead, leaving lvl5 crossfire (just for 100% explosion attack, and additional filler).
-this is my personal build, but I haven’t really tried it  just sharing my insights

I took this route and i’ll share with you what i think of it.

Sapper at Class Rank 3 and 4 makes the 90 and 130 dungeons really easy. Even with no healers, pack some pots and ash wood for Broom Trap and you’re good to go. Teammates should help with fliers if possible. Same easy grind for Demon Prison.

Fletcher plays weirdly with Sapper. It doesn’t have a good AOE to pick up from where Sapper left off. If you went Fletcher, dont expect an easy life in later levels. There’s a lot of movement and positioning work to be done to play the build. Magic Arrow is your only source of DPS and its not good for grinding Alemeth.

I’m even thinking the other way. Because Fletcher lacks in AOE skills, I’d take Sapper as it gives Broom Trap and other skills. If Sapper’s skills are up, you can use it in rotation for Magic Arrow.

What’s your “difficulty” when playing with this build ? Do you enjoy it ?
Thanks for the reply

Neat, I assume Crossfire isn’t very helpful in later levels.
Anyway, what makes you choose R1 and Scout1 ? As steady aim doesn’t provide much because it was nerfed pretty hard.

Ranger for
Barrage - I still love this skill, I know it will not do so much on late game but its always a good filler.

Steady Aim +10%
Throw Flare Shot -> BroadHead -> Magic Arrow then activate Steady Aim to boost DPS by 10%, rinse and repeat.

Scout for
Badass costume
Cloaking - Movespeed +5 / might be viable on PVP
Barrel + Z on mission, then afk for 3mins
Flare Shot scales well with your base attack, additional 28 ticks (14seconds at lvl4)

This is just boosting the ST DPS, and a little defensive skills.

IMO, Sapper is a great rank 3-4 class but Broom Trap falls off a bit in the later levels. You’ll have to supplement it with Crossfire or Barbed on top of your Magic Arrow rotation. It won’t kill things on its own. Stake Stockades with animation cancel is pretty okay as well.

I loved the build more than any of the other builds I have, simply because it does quite ok at soloing all the way to Lvl225. Barbed Arrow helps in field farming and I like that you can spam it. Its like a weak Split Arrow. But in a grinding party, you will find your usefulness pretty low compared to Clerics or Wizards. Most archers have the same problem, save for a few specific AOE heavy builds.

i’m on a similar route at sapper2/ fletcher2 at the moment & it’s a pretty fun build for soloing. i am thinking of going fletcher 3 since most comments about sapper3 are very discouraging. btw magic arrow isnt the only dps skill for fletchers… broadhead gives decent damage too (at level 7 w/o attributes, can give around 19-22k). At this build i’m able to solo siaulilai so i think that this is an underrated build

Hey i used to have sapper 2 fletcher 3 but later on at higher level i used reset to get ranger 2 fletcher 3. I do see a big damage boost and barrage hit flying mobs too.
