I wouldn’t call that unfair. Just “unlucky” or “bad timing”.
It’s not like they knew that you were going to spend that much silver right before their announcement.
Ok, for the sake of the argument, lets say they give you your money back.
Then the next guy comes along and says “he got his money back? i upgraded my weapon 1 week ago. i also want my money back”. Then another “if he gets his silver back from 1 week ago then i want my money back from 2 weeks ago”, etc.
What would be the “fair” point in time where they’d consider an upgrade “too old” to be reimbuseed?
The only real “fair” thing would be to either reimbuse silver for everyone or no one. Should they reimbuse people for every single upgrade that was done since the release of the game?
As a fun thing to think about: Lets say they made upgrading more expensive instead. Would you allow them to force you to retroactively lose additional silver for every upgrade you have done? Like “Hey, we decided that every upgrade now costs 10millon silver… oh, javier, you have a +10 weapon that you made 2 days ago… we’ll retroactively subtract another 80 million from your player silver account during the next maintenance”.
To be hondest, after thinking about it, i think no reimbusement should be done at all, not even for shards… because it results in just this situation we have in this topic.
They should just announce their plans for changes 2~3 months before the implementation and tell everyone “if you don’t like spending so many shards now when in 3 months its gonna be cheaper, please wait with transing your gear. For those who spend the shards now : Enjoy your upgrades and advantages you’ll have for the next few months.”
