i have a friend worried about the journal but hi say that the journal will be balanced with your others chars on the lodge, thats mean, who every archivements will be shared bettween your chars filling the empty archivements from each other (like make all the recipes with the same char or some like that)
thats mean u wanna lose nothing…
Ha…ha!
That means for those of us that upgraded items to +10 (a f*ck ton of items mind you), we’ll have to redo that (if we want to rank again).
Yes it’ll be cheaper the second time around, but the money we already used for that is GONE.
Completed quests are (obviously can’t be redone) probably not an issue. Re-exploring maps, also not gonna be an issue.
F*cking recipes add 1 measly point. Obtaining trash materials, also just 1 point. These aren’t the source of the bulk of people’s points.
That wasn’t even the point.
It’s mostly from CRAFTING items (1st chunk), then UPGRADING them to +10 (max points for the item).
If you’re basing your analysis on your “friend” and not first-hand experience on how to get ranked. Then you have no basis.
*If your friend just bug-abused to get to his/her rank then he/she won’t feel the loss then.
i never take care about the journal… im on the 200 rank and i know how rise but i never care. but my friend is 10
10 =//= 1~5
The difference from #5 to #10 alone is 15,478 points.
Compared to the difference between #1 and #10, 40,531 points.
Go ahead, fill that gap with recipes.
TL;DR
We’re all getting screwed one way or another.
You might not care about AJ and the people who took time and effort and dumped way more than 20M silver to get there.
It’s an aspect of the game that also requires spending to get results. This one’s not getting anything back.
but thats not the point here. u wanna keep the same score and MAYBE get extra points for recipes crafthed with others chars. the points will be shared like collections do
While Attributes and weapons are critical for your character development, the things its simple: you CANT do business with attributes, also attributes system its getting a rework, and for people who already invested in attributes right now will get it back as “points” because thats how the system will work from now and not with silver so to adapt our attributes right now they will give it us back as points for every attribute we have purchased. and thats a good thing or people would be complaining right now.
meanwhile weapons: you can still trade it and sell it and get part of your moneyback according on how much you invested it to refine it (as well with gems that are socketed into your weapon, etc , etc) so that will affect your weapon final sale price. thing you cant do with attributes. and unlike weapons, you are stuck with your attributes.
Make/get = the way you obtain silver so pretty much its the same. i could say i get or i make silver with the same stuff: farming monsters, selling stuff. the way you do it its your business. i get silver by farming dungeon 170 and its not even the ranger build everyone use, i use a swordy to do it. i barely finished to level up my alchemist to C3 to sell potions, i even have a squire which i dont use anymore because the profit of silver from it its just barely meaningful.
That character has crafted EVERY SINGLE THING it could (up to that point) and nothing my other characters have crafted will add to it.
Because by itself, it has done everything else before my alts have.
The changes will benefit my alts, but not my ranked character. Nothing my alts have will come close to what that character currently has.
If anything, it’ll do the opposite and increase the points of my alts, but not the other way around.
Also, we’re not talking about points. We’re talking about Silver wasted on crafting (even useless sh*t), then upgrading them to +10 to get the most points out of 'em.
Have you upgraded a Battle Bracelet to +10, then used it to craft a Sissel Bracelet which you then upgraded to +10 as well. See what I mean?
Or how about something stupid like upgrading a Talisman to +10, then using it to craft a Petamion, upgrade the Petamion to +10, then use it to craft a Max Petamion (which I have not yet gotten to +10).
That’s the part that makes me deny your tears over a measly +/-20M silver. We’re talking SILVER here and how inconsequential your cries are over what other people are losing over this.
but u are losing nothig… others players must spend the same silver that u or another top rank to compete on the journal, and the upgrade cost problems are only for 315 gear who was overpriced at first
Have you not been reading and understanding anything up to this point?
Then clearly you haven’t upgraded to +10 a bunch of items over Lv40.
Upgrading a Lv75 item alone (considering good luck), will waste close to 1M on average. That’s one item, if it breaks or you can’t get it to +10, you have to re-acquire it.
You think we all got everything +10’d in 1 try, you must be delusional.
Try upgrading a Lv120 (purple) item right now to +10, tell me if you:
A) actually get it to +10
B) how much you spent
And this is just one item… repeat this over many failures (and breakages) and many other items of increasing levels.
Look, seeing as you’re at 200+ as you mentioned, and your friend is at 10 as you claimed, then I really don’t expect you to understand this.
I give up.
i never upgrade some item >170 because i never want to increase my journal rank i say so before
my point here is that u lose almost the alff with tis items but with items over 315 u lose 15/16 of the money expend before the balance
pd: dont look like u need waste over 500k to upgrade this item lvl 40 to +10 and its blue
Let’s see if you can even get it to +10 with no fail like your theories:
[/quote]
i never say so but its posible and make an item lvl 40 to 10 was not to expensive even failing some upgrades
First off, don’t quote me out of context. That statement was for my challenge, not for a pre-existing item.
You keep saying Lv40, when I said OVER Lv40, again and again. That means HIGHER than Lv40, aka Lv75+. Any item. SHOW ME NOW. Doesn’t have to be an item you’ll end up using mind you.
We’re not in the same mindset afterall, so you have to understand that we’re upgrading sh*t we’ll never even touch or use once.
I’m not even asking for Lv315 honestly. Good for you. You have one item at Lv315+ that capped its points.
Now think of people who ranked #1~5 and imagine just how many more items we’ve upgraded compared to that.
Just show me how [easy] it is to upgrade lower level items (I don’t need it at 315, I settled for your 170 limit, or at least Lv75) and how [cheap] they are when done many times over several items.
since its sort of related. (enhance simulator before the patch)
Nah, that’s theoretical.
I challenged him to do it in-game, with his funds. With an item he probably won’t use, just to get him in the same mindset.
And then come back to me and show me that it’s so easy to do. That it won’t even leave a dent when done over and over again over a multitude of items.
Just like I and the rest of the other ranked people did.
he already did it with the 315
I think that’s count already
event if that’s theoretical, still shows the "amount"
not that you succeed every time.
That’s one item, hurray for him.
How many items acquired and upgraded (on top of everything else that adds points) do you think it takes to generate 100K+ points?
He won’t understand my point that his complaint over [spending] is nowhere near what [we’ve] spent garnering all the points we did.
Not that we were forced to do so. But it is a part of the game that one can choose to participate in.
It does require a lot of funds to be successful at.
And ultimately, nothing will be returned to us for it. And here’s someone crying over 20M (give or take).
im not cryying about the money or asking them back y just whant to know if imc say something that justify the awesome decrease on the upgrade cost. im fine if they do nothing but imc have mechanics to refund the invested and wasted silver in a fair way. like giving silver anvils equal to the rate that could have reached with the wasted money, or something like that.
