A pure gun build?

Hello there =)

I was thinking:

  1. Musketeer doesn’t benefit from -almost- anything since it’s too busy with its own rank. So we have the sapper-wugushi builds that works on their own
  2. Musketeer c1 -can- be enough to serve its purporse of nuking someone. Buttstroke comes in hand at c1 too.

if I’m correct on these both statements (which you can correct me), shouldn’t a Sapper/Wugushi 3 - Musketeer c1 - Bullet Marker c2 be viable?

We have 2 weapons to work with: Musket and Pistol. You use your musktr skills then use the dual pistol stance and the autoswitch does its magic. We spam everything basically.

I’m not saying it’s the better of anything, I’m just a heavy-renaissance-theme fan and boy, I do like it.

Autoswitch?

Anyway, you will need a xbow to use Dual Pistol Stance, i think…

You buy the attribute and leave a weapon on the autoswitch slot.

Then, let’s say you’re using a Crossbow + pistol and you place a Musket in the autoswitch slot.
If you use any musket skills, the game will autoswitch to your musket so the skill activates with no need to swap weapons mid-fight or via inventory. If you use again a skill that requires the Crossbow, the game autoswitches back to it.

If the stance requires crossbow+pistol to work, just leave any level 1 crossbow there, unless it has influence on BM dualpistol skills.

Maybe switch to Musketeer 2 - BM? Because Musketeer 2 have an atributte in one skill that increase gun damage.

Oh I didn’t remember that.
but damn, Desperado is c2.

desperado is c1 but mozambique is c2

i thought about Musk-BM as well but realized Canon-BM is so much better. and idk how will DGS react to autoswitch.

desperado is apparently weak if you are not falc3.
but I have you to see a falc1 circling + desperado. I am not exactly sure yet how skill works in terms of whether it is possible to hit everything in 1/4 aoe with just circling
but i think falc1 won’t work

But why? Cannoneer is really bad at dealing damage without Bazooka/Smoke Grenade…
On top of this fact, it also uses up lots of SP to use skills with low base modifiers.

The only benefit I can see in going Cannoneer over Musketeer in this build is that it requires a lot less blessed shards to transcend your cannon.

However, it’s way easier and cheaper to get a good musket, as the recipe costs are low and the item drop rates for Emegard Musket materials are some of the highest 2 Practo-recipe material droprates, and Muskets are stronger than Cannons when it comes to damage (Emengard Musket vs Emengard Cannon has an advantage of 22 minimum attack and 217 maximum attack as the base values, giving you a higher average damage).

Musketeer skills also have more damage% and less CD than Cannoneer skills(except for the 3 base skills that have 5 and 7 seconds CD respectively), Cannoneer only has the AoE advantage.

It’s just that if you go a second gunner rank, you probably won’t have anything else for aoe.

Well you can add a sapper or wugu but why bother if you have a filler high-rank class for AoE. Between Napalm Bullet, Siege Burst and Cannon Blast (+ maybe one of 5s skills), your AoE will be at least decent. And your single target will be covered by BM2. Im not saying it’s supergood, but as a musk you will only have covering fire and snipe, both lvl5. Those are good too, but they are like… even more single target + difficult to aoe with them without falconer.

Musketeer is more swag ofc. And if you run into falc3, snipe is good aoe, covering fire even better.

I read somewhere in kToS thread that Desperado wasn’t affected by Circling, so there’s that.

If Desperado is c1, which’s my mistake for stating otherwise but I could swear that it was c2, then we can go back to the M2-BM1 that Valfor said.

So it’s a strong single target class and the sapper c3 aoe cover its weakness. It isn’t an aoe or single target focused build and it isn’t made to be the meta build, but if it works well enough, I’m in.

We still need to see DGS and autoswitch working together tho.

Yep, Desperado is C1 (“Bloody Overdrive” in the link below).
