A little help to people who dont understand what P2W means

If you think acquiring items via silver is pay to win then I think you need to consult google.

Ok w.e I’m done iToS p2w unless they change item bound and sub, then I’m happy to sub other then that keep argument cuz coming from WoW royal 10yrs yea I know what I’m talking but since wow lead close to p2w as well that’s why I’m taking a break. But anyway you win lol like other have stage F2P will die bc there no fund to pay staffs sever gm anti bot etc.

WoW u dont have to hate everyone just for their time to play …
And i believe that this product is much worse because of this shops /restrictions / paymodels and sure because of some people which are totally fine with it :stuck_out_tongue:
But well i totally understand that this team don’t really have much choice …
They are no giant nore did they have the funds nore will this pruduct ever get as big as Path of Exile or League of Legends or the Abo MMos which can afford a way better Model.
Still i believe they will have to balance it out and really fast because if this game stays as it is the people will leave and will never come back no matter what.

Oops, you are right so I’m going to correct myself and say all f2p mmorpg

Some skins actually shrink hit boxes on that game, only a few. But i suppose you could claim P2W on that?

Pretty sure if a skin SHRUNK a hit box it would be pay-to-lose. xD

That is a speculative argument at best anyway. I definitely think some skins diminish recognizability and make certain particles more difficult to see, but I don’t think that’s pay-to-win. Ultimately the change is aesthetic and it’s just something players need to acquaint themselves with. But in a game that’s so constantly updating and changing, that’s true for any other aspect of the game.

How so? makes it easier to avoid skill shots.

Thought you meant hit box of their skills. :V

Regardless, the argument is speculative with no hard evidence to support it, so it’s still a moot point.

Its not its been tested there are videos and guides you can look up covers all the skins that make your skills hard to see, or character model hit boxes larger or smaller.

Im just saying if you try hard enough you can call anything P2W these days.

K, first definition.

“Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying.”

It doesnt apply to tos, since you cant get better gear nor better items than anyone else. Most you can do is get silver to buy the same stuff everyone else can use. Where is your god now?

Source: Urban dictionary, first site if you type “pay to win”

Edit: P2W has always been being able to get something thats better than anything you can get ingame, and that cant be gotten any other way.

For example in Ragnarok Online:

Having I Love China only on the cash shop(and untradable) is pay to win.
Having I love China on the cash shop(tradable item) and also droppable by mvps with a 0.1% drop rate isnt pay to win.

Does anyone else realize that all these “p2w” or “not p2w” arguments always just devolve into people yelling their definition of p2w and disagreeing about what defines p2w.

Maybe you should be more concerned about the concepts people have issues with and not the label they give those concepts.

Thats like every major topic on the forums lol. Thats why i gave up a while ago.
