A hunter's woes

Hello everybody, so I’ve been playing for a couple of months now, A2 + H3 + F1, don’t regret it at all, very fun to command my lil’ pack (also very frustrating when it break, like once every 20 mins)

So beign a hunter means that I’m very dependant on my companion, you could say that I’m used to expecting the usual outcome of : use retrieve on a monster, monster slowly comes to me beign hurt all over by my companion. Except when it doesn’t.

Anyone as a hunter has been to demon prison 2F? if you have, tell me, are the monster there immune to your companion? cause they’re for mine. It’s almost as if they were “small bosses” they don’t get hurt by anything other than rush dog.

So my dear people, I’d like to hear your experience from the field, tell me where should I be aware of monsters that look down on companions and walk towards the player with a smile and a knife on hand to tear us apart.

Monster frames, one addon by Excrulon show monster type of armor, if it is a “boss type”, etc.

This elite / boss type of monster are immnunes to CC etc.

While yes i’d like more data about monster around, having it like that doesn’t really sound appealing to me, thanks for the info though. got a hunter per chance?

Im not a hunter, but one friend have one and I know for ex, that coursing does nothing on bosses.

About the addon, as IMC said, the ones that gives you info you can obtain just by google for ex, are ok to use.

You can http://www.tosbase.com/database/monsters/ and look at all monster armor type, hp, etc.

But it saves you a lot of time, just that.

Edit: even without the addon you can see when the monster is not a common mob type…

Nuka seems pretty normal according to the database. (http://www.tosbase.com/database/monsters/57690/)

Nuka is not affected by anything other than rush dog, so just wondering what other monsters are immune to hunter skills.
