A future trend for Healers?

yes they do, the main boss summon has a big hp bar like any other boss in the game and the rest have a small hp bar under their names that appeared almost at random :\

the cat “dies” in 1 hit no matter the dmg

They die and they cant be healed. But their AI is stupid like hell, thats what makes them annoying.

Now the sorcerer skills that allowed the sorc to actually avoid the summons AI to take over were all moved to C2 - which leaves a healtile eating clown doing random crap you can’t really control.

If they can’t be healed, then I can see the reason of being frustrated.
Perhaps the developer can give the summoner class a few commands like Hold the Position / Follow me / Keep attack the same enemy until it dies / etc. That’ll definitely provide much more flexibility to the summoner class and won’t be a hassle for healer as well.
Aside from that, if developers never want to do that, then there are only a few possible ways to counter the shortcomings like what I’ve mentioned, limiting the summoner to be the last few players to get the heal tiles so it won’t waste the heal tiles.

Well, they exist already~

Oh, my bad. :stuck_out_tongue:
If that’s so, it shouldn’t cause the problem mentioned unless the player lacks the information to utilize the commands, or is there something that I had been missed (like there are some sorcerers decided to pick other circles which do not give the command for summon but they still use a summon?)?

Yeah like @Seiryuu said, the skills to control the summon were moved to C2, so there might be Sorcerers that can summon but that don’t have the skills to control them.

Bokor is another thing. Zombies are so slow… until they see a heal tile. It’s a bit of a pain to heal when zombies are around.

I wish there was like an attribute or skill that enables/disables heal-tile-eating zombies.

at least in icbt even if you had the command, the summon AI is so… let’s say “lacking” to keep it PG :expressionless: and even if you use the command the summon most of the time ignored it.

so you would tell the summon to hold and not go to the heal, the AI would still do what it was going to do before and take it…

with boss summon, it’s easy cause they have an icon and can be turned off, but salamion has non…

I think enemy density should be a thing to take into account too…

as for the actual theme of this thread… which I cant remember read title

Oh! am sure they will be fine

Then I guess a request for the player to not use the summon but utilize other circles’ skills (if not, why do they choose other circles in the first hand if they actually want to use summon more?) or just ask him to be the last few players to receive the heals if he insist to use the summon will somehow do it.

I see! I guess developer would be the only one that can solve this then if the summons do not abide with the commands given.
To be honest the AI behaviour in ToS is pretty weak now.
Edit : As in general AI behaviour, probably the reason the game’s difficulty isn’t challenging now.

Because, why not use summon for extra dps? lol

I forgot to mention that Necromancer’s Shoggoth also eats heal tiles (I mean, it runs towards the tiles by itself, not because it was following its “master”), I think Skeletons do that too, not sure.

But yeah, I hope they improve the AI too.

Well, it depends, really. I myself prefer to see both sides (maybe more, if it has more than 2 sides) of a matter instead of focusing on one of them only.
Sure, having an extra summon will surely provides extra DPS, but if its existence is proved to be more of a burden instead a beneficial for the greater outcome of the battle, then it should be highly considered to be not used at all.
Perhaps the time taken would be lengthened in favour of lesser risk of the entire party being wiped out, I personally feel that is the better decision to be made because in the end, all of us want a successful run more than anything else.
Well, I’m a healer class person after all, it’s no surprise if I prefer the lowest risk option if it is available to me.

But yeah, it is the developer’s task to improve the AI’s behaviour. Without that, this should be the possible counterparts for the shortcomings for now, which I don’t really mind since it encourages the players to think and cooperate more to overcome the present problem.

No they shouldn’t some bosses have bursts of damage you need those heals for and when you put them on the ground some dumb ass dps is gonna eat a tile every time they have 1 damage and waste away the tiles. happens ALL the time and its annoying.

You know whats more annoying? I have half of my hp left and a cleric not putting down heal tiles because Im the only one who has low hp, im the tank. Happens many times. So just be dear and drop tiles when on cd. You got what, 10 tiles within 15 seconds, thats with level 5. And you dont want to because someone will consume 1 tile of that?

you do your skills the cleric will do theirs. If you dont like it you play the cleric lol.

You mean 40 seconds, correct? Heal has a cool down of 40 seconds. Mass Heal has a cool down of 30 seconds. Twice it is cast, it will not cast again for a while, and often an mis-conception from tanks that they want the heal now and they can get it, but this is not the case.

Heal has a cooldown of 22 seconds, and has overheat.

Maybe they updated in KOBT. My Heal used to have longer cooldown then my Mass Heal at 30 seconds.

Also played cleric, was never a 40 second cd

It was never 40 seconds lol.

Maybe you are right then. Perhaps it has been too long.
