Aside from the jewed comparison, straight up most Archers and Wizards get good scaling damage AND good attributes for their damage. Meanwhile Swordie just has a bunch of these flat scaling.
Honestly, they’re pathetic right now. You can DPS, and you’ll see some nice numbers pop up every now and again, but you’ll never compete with classes that have above all zero second cooldowns. Yeah, Fletcher’s just like, why.
Since DPS doesn’t only contribute to burst, a straight guttering of most of the Swordie’s cooldowns to Fencer-levels may alleviate some discern, but they were apparently made to be flawed from a mechanic standpoint. Archers and Wizards can both move with certain skills and chain into others, and Clerics have defensive means to set themselves up- All we have is Pain Barrier. Meanwhile we have to throw ourselves lifelessly infront of the enemy and get out DPSed by a class that isn’t even defined as a DPS (Chaplain).
But don’t worry. Gung-Ho and Concentrate will save us!
