500+ levels is too many for a game with no level sync option! How can we play with new friends?

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned yet but why not just use ro’s rebirth system. The level cap can be 100 and each rebirth just makes it harder. The total amount of rebirth would be 6, so same as tos’ intended cap of 600

To deal with changes to the leveling system mobs will also have a cap of 100. Any mobs that were higher than 100 would have a star to denote their strength. Eg: level 230 mob would be level 30 with 2 stars.

This way the level range is a lot smaller making it easier to level.

There may be some issues with power leveling this way do maybe they could implement a penalty for lower leveled players if they try to hit higher level mobs. Eg: a 2 star mob only gives full xp to players who are on their second rebirth and above. Monsters lower leveled than the player still give players full xp, allowing them to party with their lower leveled friends, only that they get less xp

There is big issues with Lvl Sync on TOS… What if everybody who is +450Lvl going to LvLed on low LvL areas and this mean too low population for +450Lvl areas to grind parties? While others abuse the Sync system, high LvL areas is going to be dead…

Problem is; TOS is not a game which u can reach MAX LvL within 2 weeks… Sync is fine if i can be LvL500(Max) in 2 weeks

Party EXP share for people who are members of the same guild for some time, could be a week

And even with this, Xp need to be reduced maybe like %30 for this high lvl character’s normal grinding Xp gains. If not; high LvL zones have a big problem (dead)

I would like to see a system were we can use a mentoring system that works in a way that every high level player can have, let’s say, a maximum of 3 “students” at a time.

This students have to be registered and the “mentor and studewnt” status will last for 30 days.

During those 30 days that mentore will scale only when in group with the registered “student”.

That should make it possible for people to play with friends in low lvl areas helping them and preventing at the same time an abuse of the feature since you’ll be able to switch students only 1 time a month.

OFC after said month it should be possible to renew the “contract” with the previous student in order to continue to play with them.

Sounds interesting…

  • A guild can only set 3 “teacher” at a time… (30 days permanent status)

  • Teacher status is bind ur character’s Lvl to ur guild’s one of the low LvL character’s (student) LvL (a teacher can select only 3 students)…

  • Even u didnt play and Lvl with him (while u r Offline) ur Lvl automatically catch him (but no free Xp for teacher if he didnt grind with his student)

  • Player within teacher status %30 less Exp progress if he(she) grind without one of his(her) student…

IF this feature is not abused with low playerbase hundreds guilds (5-8 player per guild, than when players reach to max Lvl, they can combine this low playerbase guilds) sounds good…

This wasn’t really covered in the OP, and I don’t blame you for not wanting to read the entire thread, but it was implied and later openly agreed that the downscaled player needed to be making much less exp than they’d get grinding at their own level.

So I agree with you! It should never be better to downscale for leveling.

This is a problem I actually have with a lot of mmo’s even ones with regular level caps of anywhere from 50-99 so I never even considered how bad it could get with a level cap of 500+. Though I don’t have a solution for it I do agree it’s something IMC needs to consider and eventually address unless they want the game to only be played by the few long term vets and new players joining the game feeling completely left behind and overwhelmed that they are months away from being able to play with their friends.

i agree the cap is high, ive known other mmo’s like this to have a high lvl cap too, trickster online was one of them with a lvl cap of 400,but in that game they had decent quest system which spoon fed the exp towards the next lvl.

option 2 is good for all

We really do need some sort of level scaling or mentoring system in this game.
