3 Main issues of TOS in YOUR OPINION

Aren’t we approaching a year and Bokors Zombie damage buff still didn’t get transferred over?
I presume that has to be manually done and they’ve somehow managed to forget doing so.

Optimization, class balance, stat balance, item balance…
Dex has disproportionate value to other stats which are almost entirely flat compared to Dex.
The impact of Dex is fairly large on physical builds both because it increases and decreases damage. That it increases damage more then the dedicated damage stat to the point that STR investment is undesirable entirely is very wonky.
There were efforts to stem this effect by adding boosts to skills specifically based on Str (Frenzy and Concentrate) but these efforts are undermined by transendence, their own insignificance, and the few quantity of these skills.
SPR has a similar issue. In general you have a situation where physical classes are interested in
STR/CON/DEX and magical classes in INT/CON/SPR.
While SPR is coveted as a general stat in general, if stats aren’t proportionate in value (or at least have enough classes that care for any specific class) there is a problem given that stat restats are not free or readily available. Player choice then should not have large variance in efficiency when it comes to stat investment.

Her last post was made 7 hours ago. Her shift already probably ended and now this thread will just continue unnoticed.

Regardless, I’ll post my 3 or 4 or 5, because I don’t know if I can stop at just three.

  1. It’s been almost one year since the opening of Founder Access, and far more since the two closed betas, and IMC is only taking a real interest just now. Twelve months later. Now it’s not the first time, but the absurdity of it all comes down when you realize that every time they do, they basically ask their playerbase to do THEIR job for them. Just look at this thread, up there, with the patch notes that don’t list every single change a patch brings to the game. These problems have been common knowledge for every one of the 200 people left playing this sorry excuse of a game in the past three months. I don’t know what kind of circus you got going back there in the office, but it’s too bad if you don’t have any community managers that have been around since day one to keep a real history of issues. Am I the only one who remembers that @Marikim was the first community manager around and they just disappeared without saying a word? What about @STAFF_J? They have also been in these forums since the very first day they opened. What about the only real CM we ever had, Julie? Oh but she left because she saw how terrible everything about the management of iToS is. But hey, we can’t have a perfect scenario all the time, so let’s just roll with what we have, right? Well, it’s too bad, because what we have now all it does is ask players to point out the problems, in order to relay them to the people who fix them. Not only this process is super slow and ineffective, it relies on the goodwill of players kind and dedicated enough to investigate and keep track of issues, and show them to the public. Good thing that your average MMO player is not a total scumbag looking for the easiest way to gain an advantage over other people and wouldn’t hide information in order to achieve this, right? Oh, I just defined what an exploit is.

  2. Irregularities with the TP pricing between iToS and kToS. Exchange medal prices in the Exchange shop are higher for certain items in iToS than in kToS. I’d provide screenshots with examples, but see point 1.

  3. IMC refusing to actually STOP doing whatever they’re doing and goddamn CHECK their flawed-ass game client that has issues going back all the way to the first beta. Oh but hurrdurr there’s no way we know about this because we’re new in the company and IMC has a serious communication problem and every other feedback piece from 15 months ago was lost with whoever had to handle it at the time that is no longer with us (see point 1). My real issue on this point is, why is every player and their mother still able to access the dev console and tamper with files in order to gain advantages as long as you know how to do it? This takes me back to, guess what, point 1. IMC can’t be bothered to actually admit they ■■■■■■ up, that the game is flawed in its very foundations, that the game client is faulty and riddled with vulnerabilities, yet they come and ask the players to tell them what to fix. Is this a bad joke? Yes. Because the last time we saw a massive display of this problem, IMC had the audacity to say “those exploits don’t exist or aren’t as bad as people say”. And then went onto making the Survival Instinct event where everyone just created a hotkey to trigger the very old and well-known quest teleport animation so they could just jump over the blockade into the stairs and climb away from the bosses.

What did I do, really? I just pointed out three pieces of feedback that are as old as it gets, yet it all comes back to point 1. iToS will keep being an embarrassing shitshow until point 1 is addressed properly.

because no player report = no problem

this is the fundamental issue with addon as well

whats with the idea “if addon is beneficial to public, it shall not be banned”

the very fact people can mess around with your .ipf .txt .dat watever, thats a violation already!

who knows when will the next hook show up.
inb4 hook version2 is out faster than rank9 content.

Can’t this be counted as listening/reading though, even if restricted to a sole thread, as you imply?

yeah if more content but only available on rank9 lmao! those under rank6 will surely not get back into the game. you lost it because you made this game a hardcore player based game. so much things to do but only in a repetitive way.

To be honest the dev console isn’t a problem. If someone is going to abuse game’s lua code vulnerabilities they will simply make addons with commands to do that. If you for some reason block dev console all you are doing is to make it harder for addon developers, so we need to restart client on each test instead of doing live-test with the code to check return values, callbacks and such.

I like and dislike how addons are handled by IMC. I love when you are allowed to add user content to a game in the sense of addons and features. But when it is done based on how vulnerable to code injection your game is it starts to get complicated.

In a perfect world IMC would add an addon platform such as Steam Workshop with a proper and limited API and documented functions, all code running in a Sandboxed way in a way it still allows the beneficial things we can do at the moment.

Also, in a perfect world, IMC would add a trusted channel that devs could report bugs on code level with test cases (either for how the game is right now on Lua side or, if that perfect world existed, for preventing abuse and fixing bugs on the theoretical addon platform).

They do basically Gacha boxes which is actually the horrible system everyone hates. That is the unfair part not the Mileage Points which is basically a second cash shop going leaps and bounds over your recycling system.

Coming from someone whose played many Aeria games and gone back recently to see how Suba Games runs them: These systems to me as a consumer/player are rotten. Go back to straight selling things for TP instead of gacha and rewards. Even if things are a bit more expensive because I hate nothing more then spending money for a “chance” to get something.

@STAFF_Yuri

I’m glad to see a staff that sincerely cares, and I hope you read this.

  1. Please either nerf transcendence or make blessed shards easy to obtain like talts. Class balance is really bad already, and now with transcendence, it kind of destroyed the whole game. Most basic things about MMORPG is you have DPS class, support class, tank class, etc… everyone playing their roles and working together to accomplish something. But currently in this game, stage 10 trasncendence = DPS, and no transcendence = f*k off, this game is losing players like crazy already, we don’t want new players to reach endgame content and feel discouraged because balance between players is so huge that they can’t compete with those whales that rmt shards.

  2. Can we get new contents faster and more often?ex. Free Dungeons, Appraiser class, Dungeon Levels, etc… It makes us feel like iTOS is an inferior server for IMC to milk its players with weekly cash items updates only…

Sorry, but u are wrong

Gacha = chance, dice.
Mileage Points = the more you spend, more you earn. There’s no “chance” here.

What if you get more gachas with your whalexchange? It’s very likely that they won’t give it much thought.

Could definitely switch from Gacha to Mileage
You can spend your TP with utilities (Tome, warp, soul crystal, skill reset, token) and win your costume with this system

Eh personally I would rather there be no gachas, a reward for those to expend a lot would be nice aslong as it doesn’t give a blatant edge. perhaps make them lag the game, er my bad. leave a golden path in the game in their wake or sumthing.

I do know why they switched the marvelous ancient ‘buy what you want’ for those devilish gachas. to milk money. but they should totally 180 here and implement things that feel rewarding and not abusive. It should grant them more money in the long run.

I don’t mind gacha in and of itself. Even the exchange shop. But they need to make costumes available for direct purchase at a reasonable price as well for people who don’t enjoy gacha. It’s that simple. Cater to people who would rather only spend 3$ or whatever the local currency cost is, and gamble–and cater to the people who don’t like that crap either by keeping things available for purchase like normal.

The exchange shop is fine. I wish I could trade in say… two costumes and get enough medals to get a new one. I wouldn’t mind that at all.
