2 Videos of Wiz 3 Ele 1 on basic Wiz 3 combo and Quest Boss fighting

Thanks.

Wow seriously, this thread has so much mechanics or discussion on elementalist that you can’t find elsewhere.

Also, someone somewhere said that Electrocute is bugged at the moment and does not benefit from your magic attack, unless the targets are linked through the linker skill.

If that is still true and wasn’t fixed, then that is probably one of the reasons why its so weak at the moment.

Also i think i’ve read somewhere that Electrocute will get Overcharge, again, its just rummors at this point.

I had a level 183 Wizard before the wipe on the korean server. With high INT, decent weapon and Thauma Left Arm buff I did 1,2k damage per hit of Ice Pike (level 5), around 1,6k on Psychic Pressure (level 5) and my summons from Sorc and Necro 1,4k each attack.

The monster you see taking a lot time to kill is this one:

It is considered an Elite type (the video was recorded before IMC gave elite types their own “monster crest” besides their HP bar, so here they look like normal monsters).

You can see they have a lot more HP than the normal monsters, in this case, 42k.

For reference, in the same video you can find this monster:

Which is the normal type monster with 5,5k HP. They were killed with 2 ticks of Flame Ground.

Any class will take some time to kill elite monsters past Demon Prison (level 150~).
True, but the raw dmg is pretty bad, useless in boss fights and pvp (actually its good for destroy traps lol)I just tried reskills it to lv10 to see if it can get any better but…nope.
Do you also have the Enhance Attribute? It makes a huge difference. Well, people say it is bugged too, idk.

New stat 627 matk and 10% attribute but still weak, even weaker than my lv4 prominence (same 10% attribute):

@Rhagius Quick Cast Amplification does nothing to summons because they depend on INT only. Except for Familiar that depend on Matk so Amplification will work.

did you confirm this or are you basing it on the logic behind them being based on int? i’d really hate so see that option die, it makes necros such a bad choice compared to ele3s damage with quick cast x.x

Realistically in this meta if you want to go ele you should go ele3. Frost cloud defines ele imo. Ele3>>Ele2>Ele1

i’d rather not play wiz at all then :expressionless: i really hate both costumes ( wiz and ele) enough to not want to play it

Luckily I’m still okay with wizard’s costume. I don’t really like elementalist’s costume so I didn’t wear it.

female wiz/ele?

i was shocked to see how much sp i suddenly have to use after i got quick cast and magic missile, i fear i have to start investing in spr after all, although having a +10 staff and going full int didn’t feel strong before, so it will get even worse without that.
i keep getting pulled back to wiz/ archer classes and thinking about going ele 2 into alchemist, though missing out on frost cloud and hail 15 looks quite harsh without additional damage sources from rank 6.
does anyone here have any tips for grinding wiz 3 to 80? chugging pots and using the sit-trick doesn’t seem to be able to keep up with my mana demands in chapel f1

Does Electrocute always hit 4 times each target, or was that because it was alone? (if that is the case, shouldn’t be 7 times?)

Prominence was a little weird. You got some 1200 damage hits, but also numerous 300 damage hits.

Get a few level in lv 50 party dungeon. Other than that, quest alone can get you to there.

yeah, always 4 hits per target. Even at full 28 hits to 7 targets it hardly kill any of them -.-

That 300 dmg is from burning status effect.

Oh, didn’t know Prominence had burn.

Well, doing 4 hits per target seems very good to me. You tested it on Prison Fighter, which also is a deviant from the average HP (it has 10k, while normal monsters at your level have around 3k).

Of course all Ele skills have different purposes and different ways of dealing damage, but I would rather level up Electrocute for more targets or Rail for more duration, than the other skills that only get base damage, since damage you will get by base stats, weapons and stuff.

But that is me tho. Someone might not like the skill and not get even if it is good or not. (I won’t get the summon skills from Necromancer because of their aesthetics, but I really like Flesh Cannon and Hoop. XD)

i know the routes, i was thinking more along the lines of some strategies for wiz besides sleep/ magic missile and lethargy/ earthquake that you guys might have employed.
did you have more success with going spr for example or did you actually sit down every two minutes to rest at a bonfire? did you leave quick cast completely out of the leveling process since it doubles your sp consumption keeping it up?
stuff like that

edit: nvm i’ll just start getting a bit more spr and guzzle low level mana pots like it’s beer, at least the ability to kill massive mobs is getting better as long as they are not flying ( why the fuck are flying mobs immune to sleep and lethargy?)

That skill hardly feels good to me considering the setup time needed, and Freezing sphere outdamages it.
