Zones should have more channels at minimum

Instead of having zones start off with 1 channel and go up from there they should have a minimum of, for example, 3.

This means that highly contested maps for grind will allow for more groups without needing for the channel to fill up. A good example of this is Royal Mausoleum, which atm has 4 lanterns that make for amazing party grind spots, but has way too many people looking to grind on it. Adding another channel or two would allow for up to 8, or 12 grinding parties to level there without needing to fill up the channels first.

Another point is that emptier channels seem to be easier on the lag, as well as the graphics, obviously. Having more channels means people with lower budget machines will have an option to avoid full channels.

Lastly, it seems like changing the channels can be useful to get around certain bugs every now and then. My friends and I got stuck after a cutscene in Crystal Mine and we were able to move once again by switching channels.

Yes, I’m also at Royal Mausoleum at the moment and since the corridors are too narrow and the rooms too small it becomes a mess of people bumping into each other.

It gets even worse for the people who want to sit there solo, because the map can be overwhelmed in general.
A more even spread of channels over the maps would be good.

Not wanting to name bad games, but Maplestory has a twenty-channel spread, that seems to be worldwide (excluding instances). Would it be possible to do the same?

I would say up to 5+ channels always on, some people like to be on empty channels and I get better performance on them…

right now I die instantly on a boss cause the only 2 channels on the server are full and my game stop when the battle start :@

What I don’t like about too many channels is that you end up getting that feeling of an empty deserted game. I can understand why IMC could want to keep channels down to a low number, but not allowing channel changes at all seems wrong to me.

yep mausoleum is cancer, i often see pyros and kirivis casting their fireball/zaibas at where the mobs spawn to insta kill them, i also see a lot of warriors just standing on the spawn areas probably weighting their z keys down and having a fap somewhere else

Killing mobs at the spawn is necessary atm as there are too many people wanting to level there. More than once have I had people come up and try to steal mobs from my group.

As a Krivis myself usually there’s no competition from those people trying to steal mobs, but every now and then I have to cover 2 sides because there’s another Krivis or a Pyro trying to steal the spawn. I kinda feel sorry for people trying to grind there as less favorable classes. :confused:
