Lost 8 tries by being instabombed by the second square I pressed, the patterns make no sense at all.
It doesn’t even work like minesweeper and the big reveals make no sense at all.

Wait, it’s a known issue?
I got a pattern in which every block should’ve been revealed because they were all safe and together, but still said it had a bomb nearby and had to reveal them one by one.
minesweeper isnt only braingame
at beginning and end game situation its also luck unlike many other costume quests which can rely only with good RTT
it really is a minesweeper except for the disappearing number and 3d view that can get fixed with zoomy

i did this successfully up to the second costume only, and it does feel like minesweeper. i even downloaded minesweeper on my phone just to practice lol
I had this issue in which safe circles that are adjacent aren’t revealing in groups like minesweeper. I either explode or run out of time because using the necklace reveals single circles even if it’s a bunch of safe ones.
But it’s not always the case, sometimes it works (and I ■■■■ up) and sometimes it goes one by one.

Practice online will never help, unless they have some click delay too
I usually win online minesweeper in 30-50 seconds, but in game I can’t because it doesn’t do the big reveals, just single reveals.
And the indicators feel like complete lies. These numbers, in single cells, no way there’s only 7 bombs if I’m revealing slots one by one and there are 53.
the missions of classes and costumes are a bad joke, I don’t understand why they added such unpleasant missions
instead of being something entertaining, they turn out to be something too irritating

Dude, it’s doable and it’s minesweeper. I got my Zealot wings + 2 costumes, it’s not easy but it’s not worth crying. Practice minesweeper and you’ll do it. Practice on VH mode so you get the mine patterns.

I downloaded a free minesweeper app on my phone, and practiced it in my free time for days upon days.
The Zealot costume quest is exactly minesweeper, but it isn’t very well formatted. For starters, the numbers don’t stay visible unless you re-interact with them. Also the targeting isn’t too great so you have to be very careful with what you choose. Even then, the big reveal isn’t guaranteed. Otherwise it behaves exactly like minesweeper.
I also understand its a pain, and it should have been implemented better. However if you ‘train’ like I did, you can make the most out of your 15 weekly tries.

You haven’t played enough minesweeper then. The big reveal is never guaranteed. Sometimes I have to hit 4-5 different spots before I even get a small section to open up. The only time I get what even feels like a 50% chance to get a big reveal is when its set to have few mines. But this minesweeper in game is set to be loaded with them, hence the decreased chance at a big reveal.
Same. I also got my costumes and wings from this quest. Just practiced hard mode of minesweeper for 2 days. You also need luck when playing this, not just skill. I remember always choosing any of the four corner tiles first when solving the puzzle. Somehow it makes me solve it faster since it reveals more tiles, but that was years ago haha.
I tried that and lost 9 out of 15 tries to the second reveal always being a bomb.
