Zaibas+Taoist VS Magnus Exorcismus

I’m between an INT Chaplain and the well known combo with Krivis and Taoist.

I already made a Krivis and concluded that the hit count of Zaibas is a pain in the ass. Then here’s the question: Do MagExorc have similar restrictions? Or can it stay hitting enemies within its duration?

Extra questions would be how to extend the hits of Zaibas (and MagExorc if it also have such limitations), before I change my KrivisTao to Chap.

Zaibas cannot be extended because it is hit-count based. If you increase zaibas level (divine might, skill gem, sweeping broom) you will have more hits.

Magnus exorcismus does not have a hitcount.
Exorcise has a hitlimit of [1 enemy per level]. If you have level 1, 1 enemy steps on your exorcise magic circle it will disappear before you are able to use magnus.

So you’re saying that ME is harder to proc? If that’s the case, it is weird, because I already played with an ally Chap and he could proc everytime.

Also, leveling Exorcise to 5 would not solve this?

Compared to zaibas (very easy skill, just press button twice to cast lightning circle), ME needs exorcise => Magnus.

ME is not difficult to proc if you position your skill well. If you dislike hitcount skills, magnus will suit you more. Cooldown of magnus + exorcise is long.

However krivis3-taoist vs priest3-chaplain playstyle is different too.
Krivis taoist burst type with storm + lightning, party support with daino, melstis, invisible charm. Krivis3 is superior (earthtower) support if you have dievdirby3 teammember.
Priest3-chaplain auto attack a lot. Stronger with cafrisun set => manahas set, and +elemental attack gear.

Yeah, the point is to have both a support character with consistent damage to help friends do quests and instanced missions, a casual PVE of sorts.

One concrete case I can make is when I went with my friends to the 150 hunting ground. The wizard had poor damage so half the DPS was me, but Zaibas capped its hits too fast and the cooldown gets longer because of that, making an unpleasant experience.

Also, having all the Chap auto attacks actually help this problem, as Aspergillum is a AA with INT based damage right?

better forget about int chaplain and pick other thing into pd2 instead

Why? You didn’t give a reason.

Also, pd2 does not exclude making Chaplain.

becoz magnus isn’t good enough as main damage skill

miko’s hamaya outperform chaplain

He said try other thing beside chap, I tried ME chap build and it wasn’t good as I expected so I reseted this rank for these reasons :

  1. The cooldown too long (double of cooldown zaibas+storm calling combo).
  2. The combo dmg of zaibas + stormcalling superior than ME build for single target, and u will have Miko rank for Hamaya skill (lower cooldown, easier to use than ME, no hit count, lower skill point invest since u need 5 points on priest c3 for Exorcism or it will poof after 1 mob step on it and 2 with Divine Might, and no Exorcism = no ME = Wait longer).

Well my ME is my main Skil, exorcise in First hit are doing around 10k damage in demon/dark Monsters  later i will record my char farming in inner wall 8

Well, If you just consider ME vs Zaibas, of course. But chap has more options to give like Last Rites and Aspergillum, which have okay CD with the itens being the only issue, though not a big one.

Those added make Chap alread a better option. The only thing here is if Zaibas can stay longer, because de CD can be high, I just need that the skill stays active while the skills recharges. Zaibas has issues when we have lots of enemies grouped and, from what I have seen, that is not the case with ME.

My question is, does ME stays longer?

ME does not have a hit limit, so it will stay longer if there’s a big group of enemies, compared to zaibas.

It’s a decent skill, the cooldown is a little too long though.
