You're invited to share your build!

PRIMARY: W3>Ele3>WL3>FF1

Just like what the others says, this build is best for any mage fanatic out there! No question ask. hihih

SECONDARY: W3>L2>Ele1>FF3>Om1

At first I am planning this build as a support build, however I fell in love with FF so I created this build. I have no issues using Linker and FF.
The only problem I added Elementalist is that I felt that after I have link+Kundela I dont have CM.
I know that W3 will be a waste of rank, but I want to use it for ele skills and share it my team mates. hahahaha

About your Fourth try: wiz2-cryo3-ele2-sorc2-rc
Have you tried to drop Ele 2 for Onmi 2 or enchanter 2? In doing that you can even drop wiz2 and get these R8 to circle 3
Wiz-Cryo3-sorc2-RC-Onmi3/Ench3

You can go full SPR here, Onmi genbu benefits from SPR, you won’t have a problem with high cost skills and summon would be stronger. Ench benefits from INT and SPR equally.

Before: arch2-QS3-falc3-megen
After: arch-ranger-QS3-falc3-mergen (obviously)

Before: cleric2-boko3-druid3-diev
After: cleric-kriv3-diev-druid3-inqui; turned into an AA lycan

Before: sword-pelt-hop2-rodel3-murm2
After: sword-pelt2-hop3-nak-murm2; more skills with shorter cool down

Before: cleric2-kriv3-druid2-exorc2
After: cleric2-priest3-druid2-exorc2; offensive skills from exorc are enough, lower ranks are for support now

Yes, but I’ve already got a character with such build (onmyo full SPR)

Problem is I have no idea how much SPR affects summon abilities. With 150 SPR invested, it seems the difference is minimal (10-20% maybe). But since INT doesn’t boost MATK that much anyway (with 150 less INT you just lose 375 MATK which is regained easily with a level of enchantment or transcendance on an endgame weapon), I can live with a 50-50 INT/SPR character.

I was using Wiz3-Ele3-RC-Sage2. Ele was the main focus, but I was hoping for Sage3 to be quite promising.
Yeah, well, rip.
I swapped to Wiz3-Ele3-RC-Myou2. As I personally hate WL, Myouji is really my only other option. Despite the lower damage and cc, it’s a lot more fun than I initially expected…

Other than my “main” Wizard, I have these too that I didn’t bother changing:
“I can’t think of a cool name” Wiz1-Pyro3-Kino3-Shadow2 -> left the same for now, I can’t think of any other way I’d want to build a Shadowmancer otherwise…

“Anti-elemental Necromancer” Wiz2-Kino3-Necro3-Sorc1 -> left the same, I kind of really like this one

“Scroll Build” Wiz2-Pyro1-Link1-Thaum2-Chron1-WL1-Enchanter1 -> kept the same. my scrollmaker. I think I can make every scroll except like… 1 skill

“Full Space Magic - Dimension Witch” Wiz3-Kino3-RC-Sage2 -> kept same, I don’t use her for anything except portal warps.

I really want to make a Featherfoot again one day, but one without green/support classes.
B> r11, so I can make Necro3-FF3 “Blood n’ Bones” build
Necc3-FF2 or Necc2-FF3 really don’t sound nearly as good or fun… :heeey:

Before: Wiz1-Cryo3-Sorc3-Necro3
After: Wiz2-Linker3-Sorc2-Necro3

Sorc3 is not that worthy and the Joint Penalty is fun to use to clean faster with the summons. And Spirit Shock is really good.

Main: Wiz3-Ele3-FF1-Sage2-SM1

Reasons: Ele3 for the AOE, Sage2 for raw damage against bosses and SM1 for better defensive CDs.

I wanna ask u guys if there is a decent build with Psy3-Onm3. Thank you in advance!

  1. (old) Sword2 Hop2 Cata3 Lancer2(3) (new) Sword3 Cata3 Dragoon1(2) Lancer2
  • They finally fixed the issue with Gae Bulg without the auto-retrieve attribute. I think Lancer3 is better in the PvP environment, so I tried something more PvE-friendly.
  1. (old) Sword1 Pelt1 Hoplite3 Fencer3 Mata1 (new) Sword1 Pelt3 Corsair1 Fencer2 Mata2(3)
  • One trick poney, didn’t like it. I’m going back to the previous build when I created this character, but I’m considering something more offensive too, maybe HL2 Pelt2.
  1. Sword1 Pelt1 Hop2 Corsair3 Reti2(3)
  • No reason to change it. I fell in love with Retiarius the time they announced it and it’s probably my favorite class in the Swordsman tree.
  1. (old) Sword1 HL3 Squire3 Templar3 (new) Sword1 Pelt3 Squire3 Templar3
  • HL3 was useful to lvl up, but I turned this character into something tankier. Shield Charge near Base Camp is a godsend.
  1. Sword1 Pelt2 Rodel3 NakMuay Shinobi Murm1(2)
  • No reason to change this build too, but I’m still torn between Pelt3 and Murm2 when I advance into Rank 10.
  1. (old) Sword3 Barb2 Doppel3 Shinobi (new) Sword1 HL2(3) Barb2 Doppel3 Shinobi
  • I changed the build of this character seeking for a more optimized Shinobi setup.
  1. (old) Wiz2 Kino2 Thaum3 SM2 (new) Wiz2 Linker3 RC WL2 SM1(2)
  • The old build seemed to be good, but the more I played it on CM in higher stages, I realized that experiment was a huge failure. As for now, I’m really loving my current build.
  1. (old) Wiz3 Ele3 RC Onmy2 (new) Wiz3 Thaum3 Sorc1 Onmy3
  • The more I played with it, the more I realized how bad EleOnmy is. Now I feel I have an adequate number of skills to use comfortably and I’m even stronger than I was.
  1. (old) Wiz2 Pyro3 Chrono3 Sage2 (new) Wiz3 Ele3 Pyro1(2) Sage2
  • The old build was fun, but I wanted to have Elementalist in one of my Wizard characters, so I came up with this since Sage3 is awful and I like Pyro.
  1. (old) Wiz2 Linker3 Thaum2 Enchanter2 (new) Wiz1 Cryo3 Kino3 Enchanter2 Onmy1
  • I had to redistribute my Wizard class circles and, since I’m already using Linker and Thaumaturge, I came up with this build and it performs better than I expected. Gravity Pole with Enchant Lightning on Frost Pillar is a very decent AoE CC + AoE dmg combo and Gravity Pole with Shikigami Fox on Ice Wall deals good damage against bosses.
  1. (old) Archer1 Ranger1 Sapper3 Falc3 Piper1 (new) Archer1 Ranger1 Sapper3 Scout2 Piper2(3)
  • I’m really loving the new build. I’m not Rank 10 yet on this character because I used rank down to get a rank reset from the Archer rework patch, but I’m excited to have the new Piper3 skill to reach an even greater dmg boost. With Weltbaum, Perspective Distortion and Critical Shot, Broom Trap will be really, really strong. It already is very strong even with just Perspective Distortion and Crit Shot buff.
  1. (old) Archer2 Ranger1 Wugu1 Appraiser SR3 Hackapell1 (new) Archer1 Ranger3 Rogue2 Appraiser BM2(3)
  • Time to say goodbye to SR. I tested Buller Marker in another character and I wanted to turn my SR into BM, although SR is still in a good spot.
  1. (old) Archer2 Sapper2 Fletcher3 Mergen2 (new) Archer1 Ranger3 Rogue1 Falc3 Mergen1(2)
  • I’m sad to stop playing with Fletcher, but I wanted to keep my Falcon, so I reset my Fletcher Mergen to Falcon Mergen.
  1. (old) Archer1 QS3 Ranger1 Rogue2 BM2 (new) Archer3 (Ranger1) Wugu3 Musk3
  • I reset this character to BM after the Archer rework patch, but I created it to be a Musketeer. I’m glad I’ finally reset it to what it was. I’m not really a big fan of AA Musketeer, so I’m more satisfied with this skill-based character.
  1. (old) Cleric2 Diev3 Miko Monk1 Zealot3 (new) Cleric2 Diev3 Miko Paladin1 Zealot3
  • Swapped Monk1 with Paladin1 to keep using 2H maces and to increase my support abilities. With Restoration scaling with Healing Factor, I expected it to recover a lot of HP/SP, and this being a full SPR character, I can enjoy using Turn Undead efficiently too.
  1. (old) Cleric1 Krivis3 Sadhu3 Exo2 (new) Cleric1 Priest2 Bokor1 Sadhu3 Exo2(3)
  • The old build lacked survivability and didn’t help the party too much when there are no other Clerics around, so I reset this character to pick Priest2 and Bokor1 (Gregorate on Zombies is pretty good). Although I plan to pick Exo3 in Rank 10, I’m still pondering Cleric2.
  1. (old) Cleric2 Krivis3 Druid2 Taoist2(3) (new) Cleric2 Krivis3 Druid3 Taoist1(2)
  • I’m disappointed with Taoist3, so the choice here was pretty easy. Awoo!
  1. (old) Sword1 Pelt1 Hop3 Barb1 Goon3
  • Deleted since I already have all the Swordie classes registered in my Adventurer Journal. I will make another Cleric with the available slot, probably a Paladin Inquisitor.

Since this is posted in wizard section, I’m assuming you’re only looking for wizard builds.

As you can see below, my bare minimum must include pyro2-sorc1-necro2. I’ve tried a bunch of combinations, I’ll share my thoughts/opinions for anyone bothering to read this.

  • wiz1-pyro2-cryo1-sorc1-necro2-ele2
Original. Decent AoE especially with stormdust. Hail nerfed, but stormdust still good. Felt it was no longer worth it to take ele2 just for StormDust imo.

  • wiz1-pyro2-cryo1-sorc1-necro2-wl2-thaum1
Strong burst, great mobbing and bossing. Theurge + Drain = +50% dark damage. Mastema is strong, like 20s dot with phantom pain attribute. Mastema kills pretty much anything that you hit, unfortunately stigma itself doesn’t last long enough for new enemies, maybe because I’m too used to stormdust. Long cd especially for PoA so didn’t like it that much.

  • wiz2-pyro2-sorc1-necro2-onm3
Excellent AoE, decent damage. 60s ultimate but far better than PoA. Genbu on a SPR build is awesome. No Wiz3 quickcast so cast time too long for me.

  • wiz1-pyro2-cryo1-sorc1-necro2-sage3
Sage3 is very disappointing and underwhelming. To be specific, Hole of Darkness. Have to wait like 5-10 seconds doing nothing, does not suck in after activation, then explode doing mediocre damage. 30s cd for a lame skill. Not worth the rank unless you only want more damage for Micro/Ultimate Dimension.

  • wiz1-pyro2-link2-sorc1-necro2-sage2
Link2 was meh. Spirit shock is meh without Link3 attrib. Not much else to say, you know how linker is. Damage was good with JP, anything linked are destroyed. but only gathers a max of 8 mobs at a time.

  • wiz1-pyro2-kino2-sorc1-necro2-sage2
Now THIS is much better than sage3. Kino2 offers a 25s cd Magnetic Force which is far superior than Sage’s cc. MF has a huge aoe pull like size of flame ground, 10 mobs, very easy to use. Sage2 still has Dimensional Compression, 30s cd, 2 overheat, high damage, better than Hole of Darkness. DC and Magnetic Force, great cc. Heavy Gravity + Flame Ground, PP+fireball.
One of my top fav build I’ve tested so far.

  • wiz1-pyro2-cryo1-sorc2-necro2-sage2
Current build. Sorc2 riding and morph, Froster Lord high damage and good aoe for mobbing. You’ve probably wondered why cryo1… because Ice Pike. Cryo1 is one of the best c1 filler you can get, low rank. Ice Pike 20s cd, 3 overheats, instant cast, instant freeze, huge aoe size of flame ground. Ice Pike when Fire Pillar is on cd. Ice Pike -> Dimensional Compression -> Micro Dimension.

Builds I’ve never tried for reasons:

  • wiz1-cryo1-link2-kino3-sage3
If I wasn’t a sorc1-necro2, this is the kind of build I’d go for, definitely. Maximum cc, gather all the mobs together. Remember old Cryo3 Frost Pillar? Either Sage3 or Link3. Despite being underwhelming, Sage3 still offers damage and another cc skill with only 30s cd.

  • wiz1-pyro2-link1-sorc1-necro2-wl2-ench1
Too costly, if I was richer or not a cheapskate. Either Link1 or Thaum1. Crafting skill scrolls for double PoA, JP, Flame Ground.

Was too confused about a build with Sorc2, so I reverted to my original idea, this time going for wiz1-cryo3-ele2-rc-enchant3.

First impressions: roflmaobbq build. You start with Rune of Protection (boosted by the maintain casting attribute and quickcast effect), launch your chargeable ice/lightning skills, and while the rune is on cooldown (25% of the time over 200s), you finish with your instant cast skills and fry the remaining mobs with your AA that deals over 50k per hit. Now suppose you have a Chronomancer in your party… :haha:

Finally the reagent cost isn’t that bad and crafting the rounds doesn’t take that much time. For the time being, I’ve only skilled Enchant Lightning and Lightning Hands, so I have 20 spare skill points… and the problem is that all other skills are “crap and crappier” ones.

Tried the spr build, sure was fun with mana shield.

for my last rank, not decided yet, either onmy3 for more aoe dps, or pyro 1 for flameground attribute/meteor combo or sorc c2 for riding, or thau1 for 10% summon dmg.

You want Onmyo3 for two reasons: Water Shikigami 15/15 + Torrent attribute, and Yin Yang Harmony. Those two skills outshine everything in your build at c3. With Ele + Onmyo you have no time to ride your summon so sorc c2 is kinda pointless. Thauma c1 will bring nothing to your build (you’d need Thauma c3 replacing Ele c3 for huge +MATK boost and powerful summons). And pyro c1 would only benefit one skill that has a minute cooldown…

sorc c2 is kinda good for uphill, mr gorkas can solo a lane himself.

Will it be better if i drop ele3 for thau3?

I’m getting my first reset of Rank Reset #2 soon and I’m gonna try Wiz3 Ele3 Pyro1 Ench3. It’s a semi-DPS build, focused on pushing out multihits.

Wiz3 for obligatory QC and Surespell, as well as Magic Missile. But I’m not sure how MM will perform at LV10. I’m hoping it’ll do all 15 hits every time I use it on bosses. Elem3 for my multihit AOE kit (plus Meteor for clearing out low-mdef mobs). Pyro1 for filler, simply 'cause I don’t wanna spend on scrolls. Then I got Ench3 for Agility buff, DPS support (maxed Enchant Lightning and Over-Reinforce), and AA, which will do 30k per hit on stuff with very high mdef, like Velcoffer (33k mdef).

Not sure how else I could build a better semi-DPS wiz that can do well on either AOE or AA. Either way, the versatility is pretty fun.

Magic Missile, as well as Electrocute and probably other multihit skills, is limited to 3 hits per single target. So it’s always better cast on multiple targets.

Unfortunately extra lines of damage aren’t affected by Lightning Hands, that’s why I never bother with pyro1 for Enchant Fire. Of course, you have the flame ground buff for your meteors…

Thanks. I’ve realized it the hard way now that I’ve had the chance to use MM LV10. Can’t use it against bosses then.

At least I still got one reset left. I should get it next Tuesday.

Actually I’ve already taken that into consideration.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the way it works should be:
Line 1: Regular attack (100%)
Line 2: Lightning Hands (503% for level 5, 640% for level 10)
Line 3: Enchant Fire (10% min matk)
Line 4: Sacrament (small, fixed damage)

And each line is boosted by additional damage from Enchant Fire, Enchant Lightning, Blessing, Sacrament, and any other “Increase Property Damage” option you have on your gear. All four lines are considered “one hit”, so things like masi mace or biteregina don’t proc on each line.

Damage on each additional line is not affected by defense of target but by property resist of target. This means that for targets with high magic defense, it might be better to invest in lines of attack in order to bypass the high magic defense barrier for auto attackers.

(correct me if im wrong)

That is what I remember and it applies for all additional prop. damage lines. One reason why Chaplain is so good at bossing. It’s practically the only class that can fight right out of the box against the Phys Resist + Mag Resist Demon Lords.

I don’t think Sacrament gives an extra line after the Pardoner update. You can get that line either from Manahas or Cafrisun if you really need it. And Lightning Hands may not affect the extra lines but Enchant Lightning would.

Edit: Just checked for myself. Yeah, Sacrament does add an extra line

I’m still getting four lines of damage though. Enchant Lightning doesn’t give a line on its own, so I don’t know where else it’s coming from other than Sacrament. I don’t use Manahas/Cafrisun.

Yep. Checked just now. Sacra does give an extra line.

I remember reading somewhere that they nerfed that so it wouldn’t add a line. Sadly, I can’t find the thread about the Pardoner re-work, so there you have it.

Magic Missile increases the number of missiles with the skilllevel, though.

Level 5&6 MM have only 3 missiles, but level 10 has 5 and level 11 has 6 missiles, which all hit one target 3 times, so there is a lot of damage difference.

E.g. Level 6 MM hits for 240%x3 hits x 3 missiles = 2160% per target per overheat, so 6480% in total for all 3 overheats.

Level 11 MM hits for 303%x3 hits x 6 missiles = 5454% per target per overheat, so 16362% in total for all 3 overheats.

This means MM on C3 deals 2,5 times the damage it deals on C2…
