All the efforts you’re putting into anti-RMTers is great and all, but you will kill your own game if you keep limiting your own players with this system. I have no interest in playing a game where I cannot trade things within my own team, or are penalized for doing so by having items lose Potential. Where I can’t trade things with friends, give my own characters silver, etc…
There isn’t even a anti-RMT point to the team storage penalties, you seem to be doing it to extend the longevity of your game, so people have to grind longer and play longer for different characters, thus spending more money? Sorry but that will scare people away, not keep them here.
You need to consider game-level incentives to keep players coming back/staying, not things that make your game actually less appealing to play. Having a system that limits legitimate players is not the answer to an MMO RMT problem.
I’m fine with there being some restrictions to make it harder for RMTers, that’s understandable. Things like a minimum character level to trade directly uninhibited by a 1:1 ratio rule, say 100+ since there isn’t really anything amazing about the content until then, but it’s still a fair few hours to put in for a expendable RMT account. There are many other suggestions people have posted on here that could be applied.
Anyway, i’m sure this type of post gets repeated often, but it’s really hurting the game, imho. I like playing multiple characters and not just focusing on one forever. Switching things up and feeling fresh. And nothing feels worse than being punished while trying to get the most out of that experience. (not to mention, can’t even give silver to other Team characters).
